This is absolutely the best thing I’ve ordered from Amazon. I used to have a battery powered one. I’d forget to turn it off more times than not so batteries would not last long. Batteries are expensive! This one is rechargeable just like my iPhone or iPad. And this one has multiple brightness settings and then one button turns it on and off. It’s adjustable, lightweight and the adjustable arm is much more sturdy than any book light I’ve ever owned. And the price is fantastic! It’s less than a twelve pack of batteries. Please don’t think it’s only for reading either! I use mine for when I want to write in my journal and I don’t want to have any other lights on. So don’t think it’s just for reading. If you’re looking for a great book light this is the one you need.

The Griffin rechargeable reading light has been such a great purchase! The lighting is bright but comfortable for the eyes, making it perfect for reading. I love that it’s rechargeable, lightweight, and easy to use. The adjustable brightness levels are a huge plus, and the battery lasts a long time. Definitely convenient and worth it — highly recommend!

I bought this to use with my Kindle at night and it has honestly been one of my favorite small purchases lately. The light is bright enough to read comfortably without lighting up the whole room, which is great when someone else is trying to sleep nearby. I really like that you can adjust both the brightness and the light color. The warmer setting feels much easier on the eyes at night and makes reading feel cozy instead of harsh. The clip is also strong without damaging pages or feeling too heavy on the Kindle. The battery life has been excellent so far and I love not constantly replacing batteries. It charges quickly and lasts much longer than I expected between charges. The flexible neck is also really useful because it lets you position the light exactly where you want it. Overall, this feels much more high quality than a typical cheap book light and it has made nighttime reading so much more enjoyable.

What matters is how it plays with an old-school machine like the AlphaSmart Neo, a device built like a tank but blind in the dark. When I clamp the light to the Neo and angle it down, the screen comes alive without glare, no hot spots, no eye strain. It’s the difference between working and packing it in. Battery life holds up. The clip has enough bite without chewing up the plastic. The light is even and adjustable, not a spotlight blasting one corner while the rest stays in shadow. Nice bonus: it comes in several colors, and one lands close enough to the Neo’s gray-green to look like it belongs there. Not important, but it’s a clean look. If you’re using anything without a backlit screen — Neo, legal pads, paperbacks — this solves the problem in one move.

This thing holds its charge so long and has multiple great settings for brightness as well as light temperature. The clip works on paperbacks without leaving a mark which is a big plus for me. It’s pretty sturdy so far, although I do have to readjust the “neck” of the light, but I think that’s par for the course with reading lights. It’s not the smallest for travel but otherwise is a great reading light.

I love this light! I had a smaller one recently but decided I needed this one. Has different settings for brightness and warm or cool tones. It’s compact enough to travel with in a purse, book bag or suitcase. It has a high rating which led me to this one. The only thing is I wish I could use it a bit longer before having to charge it - but even so it does last a few days for me. I would definitely get it again and highly recommend it.

I bought this light for reading before bed. Light weight. Clips on securely the book and bedside table. Bright enough to read clearly for reading day or night. I like the different settings of brightness. Great deal for the price. I'd recommend if you need a good light for reading books.

Great little light, just as advertised!

Love the variability of brightness and light colour. Battery lasts a good while. Better than previous reading light I had powered by 3 x AAA batteries. I was a bit dubious at first given I had a preference for replaceable batteries, but lasts a good amount of time. Good spread of light. Clip works well and the base of hte clip can even be used for resting on bedside table as a bedside lamp. Build quality good, flexi arm feels solid yet flexible. Definitely recommend.
