Wow! This is my first electric bike and I lucked out by choosing a good ebike DIY kit. Affordable, fast to install and fast on the road. One can disable the governor by unplugging one plug and it'll do over 30mph. Nice. Thank you guys

but after a year the spokes started coming out....

Finally got around to getting my bike converted to electric. Kit installed fine however the "j" of the spokes (where spoke meets the hub) from the beginning didn't look right... Not flush. But they were all carrying the same amount of tension, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. However a few decent length trips (20+miles round trip) a spoke broke off at at the hub... Couldn't figure out what the slight "tink tink" sound that was coming from the bike... Another trip around town and I felt the rear kind of wash a little bit around a corner, pulled over to check things out and 4 more spokes are broken... All at the same spot... Super frustrating.. hopefully the seller will make things right. Keep in mind I weigh 160lbs. The bike is a high end specialized sworks enduro. And the install was professionally done.Update! Contacted company and they went out of their way to handle my issue in the most professional manner. They were fast and efficient in finding a resolution that far exceeded my expectations. I am going to be doing business again with them soon. And i absolutely recommend them for all of your ebike conversion kit needs!

Installed a front hub version on our tandem bicycle less than a month ago . So far we have put on almost 200 miles and love it. It does all that it is suppose to and wasn’t terribly difficult to install.While not a complaint, I did change the twist throttle to a thumb throttle that worked better with the twist gear shifter on my bicycle.The only disappointment (again not a complaint) was that the connection on the controller for lights didn’t match the connection on the lights I bought.I would highly recommend this e-bike conversion kit.

Does not work and cannot get support from manufacturer! Only way to contact is by email; three sent – no reply!In my opinion, the controller is not working as I cannot get the display to work or the motor to turn. If I hold the power button on, and operate the throttle, the motor will run… I would return this item except for the huge amount of work required to disassemble The E bike, remove the tire, ship it back, etc. Instead, I am ordering another controller with its own PAS and display. DO not buy.!!!!!!

Really strong motor, but it last very long. Only a couple of months of very moderate riding on pavement. I suspect one of the hall effect sensors has broken. I bought the same unit for the back wheel and had the same problem. 3 stars is probably generous, but I'll give some wiggle room for user error. That said, I don't recommend this wheel. I bought a much less powerful one of a different brand, and it's still running great. I hope I can figure out how to fix this unit as well as the other one. They're not cheap, and after having two of them from PEXMOR die on me after a couple of months, I would have been better off buying a factory built e-bike.

Like I said above. Fortunately, I had it as a front hub and I had enough slack in the wiring to just turn the hub around. This would not be good in a rear hub or if I had disc brakes installed.Watch the videos and watch a video on the crank and bottom bracket removal for the PAS. It will require a special tool for the crank and bottom bracket.Super fun trike now. I put it on for my adult son who has a disability and limited his speed on the controller.

I don't usually review but I'm in the ebikeculture and hope this helps someone else. I read through all the recent comments before my purchase and one in particular stuck out. The reviewer stated the inequity of the spokes and how his hub was ruined because of. after much debate and about 50+ riding miles, some spokes were very loose. If you buy this kit also purchase a assortment of spoke wrenches and check for tightness. I had one that wasn't even hand tight but I caught it in time so all is well. I run this with a DIY 13s 48v battery and am able to reach over 30 mph on a 26 inch mountain bike!!!
