Manhattan Plaza HD-T2 Freeview HD Box with Apps

I bought this for freeview, but it is very slow , maybe the processor is very cheap which is in this system for me, In addition to this when you click on the app or change a channel it seems to go very slow , so you think you have not pressed the button , but you have all the time, it is just very slow imho.p.s I wouldn't buy this again neither should anyone else, but buy it if you want and try it and you will see what I mean and the go to the post office and send it back.If you want all the hassle off sending the item back then be my guest.Thanks for Reading my reviewif you want to know if this is a genuine review then click on my name and you will see all my other reviews or just google my name, you can trustme.

I ordered this on Saturday evening - it arrived on Sunday afternoon! Well done Amazon Prime!This product does what it says on the tin. The picture is great on all chanels - super HD. Sound is good too. The Quick Start guide works well. The User Guide is more informative and shows how to connect to the internet.Bad news I'm afraid. After a couple of months the picture started breaking up and the device stopped working. After a 'cooling off' period I could start it again for a short period but not for long. I'm very disappointed and hope I can get a replacement or alternative.UPDATE: I outlined my problem in a telephione conversation with Manhattan (I was too late for a replacement from Amazon) an after returning it to them I received a replacement two days later. Fantastic - and it works a treat. I get great HD and sound using the HDMI cable to a Full HD TV.

I purchased the Manhattan Plaza HD-T2 Freeview HD Box to use with a Philips HD Ready TV that only has an analogue tuner. Works well at 720p for Freeview HD and non HD channels. Nice that it has Youtube and BBC Iplayer but it could do with a few more TV catchup apps like ITV Player, ALL4 and My5 and streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon etc

A good quality digital box for the money paid. The HD channels are very good quality and the menu is very easy to navigate. The internet content only works if you have an ethernet lead that runs into the router but is only as good as your broadband speed. The one small negative is that sometimes the menu can take a little while longer to load but, apart from that, I'm very pleased with it.

I was pretty pleased with this box when I first bought it, but for some reason it now 'seizes up' almost every day and I have to switch it off to reset it.I got help from the manufacturer to reset the system ... it worked for a while. Recently it is going really slowly again through menu requests - I have to wait so long for it to react.Tonight it has completely seized up once again. I'm hoping another full reset will sort it out - if not I'll be taking a sledgehammer to the thing!!!I hope the computer chips etc in our aeroplanes are far more reliable!(Update 02/05/18): The big issue with this Freeview box seems to be that it does NOT work properly if it cannot access the Freeview programme info. When it does access the info it works fine ... but when 'no info' appears on screen, NOTHING works. :(

Bought this unit to improve picture quality and receive in HD. Does a good job, however, unit is slow to respond in use so you need to be patient . Curb service is no longer available (vutv has stopped trading ). If that is the feature you are looking for you will have to obtain channels by some other means .

IT WAS CLEARLY DESCRIBED AS A RECORDER ASSUMED DIRECT TO A TV BUT THE INSTRUCTION DETAILS STATED TO RECORD TO A USB CONNECTION WHICH THE 96 YEAR OLD IT WAS FOR FOUND TO BE UNSUITABLE. CREDIT FOR THE RETURN 'STILL AWAITED PLEASE URGE.MICHAEL GARDINER
