Organic Face & Body Soap Bars, Dry & Sensitive Skin, 2 Bars + Soap Holder

LOVE THIS PRODUCT, WORKS GREAT, LEAVES MY SKIN FEELING A BIT MORE MOIST, NOT OVERLY BUT JUST RIGHT. I ALSO USED IT ON MY MIN. SCHNAUZER, WHICH I REALIZE THE PH IS NOT FOR A DOG, BUT IT REALLY WORKED GREAT, HIS SKIN SHOWS A CALMING, REDNESS IN AREAS HAS DISAPPEARED.

If I could give more stars I would. For reference, I am a 49 yo redhead with fair, sometimes sensitive but normal skin. It does lean toward a drier normal in the dead of winter and slightly oily normal in the heat of summer (95° F+ but feels like 110° F bc of humidity). My skin has only begun to show any “crepe.” If yours is showing crepe, I recommend the Ancient Greek Remedy Face & Body all over Oil. I talk about these two Ancient Greek Remedy products at the end of this review. I haven’t used bar soap in years. I always loved Yardly of London Oatmeal Soap, but switched to liquid body wash like most people. I tried yardly again a few years back and it felt so “soapy” when compared to body wash. The scent was lovely, the feel was not. It also left my skin feeling tight and stripped of moisture. I went back to body wash. I really wanted something with less waste and more natural ingredients. The organic bar is the answer to both of these. Since it is a bar, packaging is a paper cover rather than the thick plastic bottles of body wash. AGR Organic Face and Body Soap Bar is all natural. No preservatives or ingredients you can’t pronounce. In fact, there are only 5 ingredients. On top of that, it is handmade!! A artisan, organic, natural soap with little waste? So far, it sounded excellent! The Ancient Greek Remedy soap bar experience: The AGR bar lathers up great, feels gentle on my skin, hydrates and has replaced my expensive face wash as well. Unlike other bar soaps, my skin never feels tight or dried out. After a week or so, people literally started commenting on how great my skin looks. It’s made that much of a change! I’ve also thrown out my bacteria ball (shower loofa) and use a Japanese shower towel/exfoliating wash cloth. Unfortunately, this can make the Greek Remedy bar go more quickly than I’d like, but the lather is excellent. A bar is $10. On average, Im an every other day showerer, but I also use the bar in my face care routine. The bar lasted 3 months. I discovered the Greek Remedy line of products when I was looking for a solution to my dry feet in winter. AGR has a lotion just for feet. While it does initially leave your feet oily until it fully absorbs, the results are 100% worth it. Start with a small amount to reduce feeling too greasy? Then add a little more if needed. I love it. Next I picked up the face & body oil. It makes my skin feel silky smooth, hydrated and feels great face to toes. I use it on my face and it does not leave a greasy film or clog pores. My skin looks fresher, smoother and perfectly hydrated. You typically use this post shower/pre toweling. It works best if you air dry. I also use a bit on dry skin on days I don’t shower to counter the crepe or just smooth my hands or face. It feels lovely and you only need a small amount. A note on fragrance: The AGR line of products have an unusual scent. It may not be for everyone. All of the products I use have the same scent which is described as having a lavender profile. To me, it actually smells earthier than that. Almost like a Kalamata olive/olive oil scent. This makes sense bc organic olive oil comprises 70% of the bars ingredients. With good wine, if you are thinking of the known flavor profile, you can pick up on some of these elements when you taste the wine. The same is true with the lavender scent. If you’re thinking lavender when you smell the bar, lather, oil or lotion; you can pick up on it. It never would have occurred to me to describe this as lavender soap. Bliss of Greece does not list these products as lavender anywhere on the packaging, but their descriptions online often include light lavender scent. The scent does NOT cling to your skin. You just smell clean. I actually love the smell. It reminds me of Sicily.

This is by far my favorite body wash! I was struggling with dry sensitive skin and found this brand. It cleans well and doesn’t have a crazy strong scent. All of my dry skin and irritation went away! I love that the ingredients are simple and non toxic!

I love soft skin at my age and I have made soap with essential oils. I was drawn to this product with all the oil blends used and decided to try. It lathered and left a soft skin not oily. I recommended the Face and Body Oil, my face and skin drinks this up. The Moisturiser for the dry cracked skin was amazing on my diabetic heels, it works. I don’t think you will be disappointed, unless you don’t like Lavender. It is not overbearing but very relaxing and claiming.

I purchased this soap hoping its high oil content might help remove water-restistant sunscreen better than my other soaps for sensitive skin. It didn't work as well as I hoped for that purpose, but it was gentle. The scent was more mild than expected. It smells quite strong right out of the box. It did not overpower. I chose this brand because I purchased the unscented body oil a few years ago. I was impressed with the quality and price. Now that I've tried the unscented oil and the soap I can't wait to try the oil butter.

Am 79 & have lived in sunny Florida all my life. This is the most soothing soap I have used and I have tried several. It is fragrance-free and leaves my skin moisturized. It is effective and lives up to the all statements made by the company. I wish I had found it sooner. For me, it is worth the money. All I can say is, try it you will like it.

My favorite soap. I had bought the oil many times and wondered if there was a soap with the same scent. Exactly the same smell. I buy it to give to others sometimes.

This soap lathers well and is moisturizing . One of the two bars has a strange large darker spot in it ! I don’t know what’s causing it . Old age maybe? Not mixed well? Anyway , the real problem is that when I go to use the soap each time , it has adhered itself to whatever I’ve set it down on . I think there’s a lot of castor oil in it which is quite sticky. I won’t need to buy this again.
