Bellemain 100% Pure Bamboo Knife Drawer Organizer, Knife Block - 16 Slots

Ok, I rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with these (I bought 2) that I am making the effort. They fit perfectly in my drawer and my knives fit perfectly in it. In case it helps you see how your knives would fit, my thickest handled knife (1 1/2" high measuring handle edge while sitting upright on blade) sits just about 3 1/4" high on this organizer. My drawer is only 3' deep but has a larger clearance of 3 3/4" so all my knives go into my drawer perfectly. [The height of the handle is really all you need to worry about as the blade slants into the drawer block]. I was glad I made measurements as I almost bought a different highly rated one that wouldn't have fit. I like my knives in a drawer but I know that I was paying for it by having them get dull faster for doing it - now I will be able to avoid that problem. Plus, it is much safer having them all organized in their own slot then in a jumble in their drawer. Additionally, while I did not purposely seek out a bamboo product - I really like the look. It looks beautiful and very well crafted. That makes me glad that I didn't try a make-it-yourself version. I doubt that I could have made it fit two rows of knives or made it look as classy and polished, and probably wouldn't have made it for less than this price anyway. So hurrah to this manufacturer for making a well-crafted, well-designed, beautiful product and offering it for a fair price (I paid $16.95 each). Thank you!

It is beautiful and well- made. I would not know that it's bamboo. It looks like wood to me. The slots are perfectly even. It holds my 16 knives, which is what it promises. IF one had a very deep drawer, it could hold even more. But it doesn't promise more, only 16 which is what would fit in a normal depth drawer. I did find a way to fit in more knives. I have some very very small cheap knives, and after the 16 normal knives are in, I can fit a few very small one in the end with the narrow slots, if I let the handles stick up in the air a bit, instead of horizontally. So- great product, and you might even be able to fit in more than 16 knives.

Great knife block that will protect your blades and save space as well. I now have two of these that work great with both my Victorinox and Global knives. Highly recommended!

Quality made drawer knife block. It fits perfectly in my kitchen drawer and holds all my knives beautifully. I have standard pro chef knives so the handles are not oversized and fit well in this block. Again, I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Unless your drawer is 2 feet long, you will only be able to fit 11 knives in this holder. The bottom tier is impossible to use as it sits within 2 inches of the front of my drawer, and likely most standard kitchen drawers. The product description that it has 16 knife slots will be misleading for some. If storage for 11 knives is enough for you, which it is for me and I knew that when I ordered this holder, it is very sturdy, heavy and well-built. I am happy with its knife storage function. The only issue is that the weight of the holder is too heavy for my drawers. But most drawers are not built like this and are better able to handle the weight. On my drawer it causes a noticeable drag when opening and closing because the wheel mechanism is not able to support the weight. The drag damages the wood on the bottom of my drawer, leaving sawdust on the dishes below. But I have uniquely constructed cabinets which are not as able to support the additional weight. I've included a picture of the support for my drawer to allow comparison to your drawer construction. The wheel on mine is not able to support the weight. After a lot of trial and error, I think I found a block that may work with my Kai Pure Komachi 2 8-Piece Knife Set (plus one). I like the form and nice, smooth finish of this space-saving bamboo block. The pieces are solidly held together with dowels that run through the bottom. (The construction of the Bellemain block I received is much better than that of two similarly priced Shenzen Knives blocks I previously returned.) I placed the five longer knives in the bottom and the four shorter knives in the upper slots; two upper slots were left. I found that two shorter knives (say, the tomato knife and citrus knife) can go in the same long slot, one upper and one lower, without the blades touching. I cannot pair up a short knife and a long knife the same way. I can fit 11 knives max since the longest in my set are too long to go anywhere but the lower five slots alone. If the upper slots had been set back another 0.75” or so, or the block was a tad longer overall, the utility knife might fit without the tip poking out. It is not a deal breaker. The block with knives can fit into one of the kitchen drawers that is 2.5” high and about 18” deep. The drawer closes without the knife handles brushing the top, but they come close at a millimeter or so. I will be keeping this block in a buffet drawer that is about 4.5” tall, though, so no height issues there at all. The block has a little heft and does not move around in the drawer much when it is loaded with knives. I don't know how the blades will fair in it, but I am optimistic. I may invest in a second Bellemain holder for the steak knives.

I rarely write a review, but I was so impressed with the quality of this knife block. Most of the time something that looks nice online, when you get it, it turns out to be barely acceptable quality or just downright junk - but this knife block is well-made, solid wood, fit just right in the drawer, and has slots to hold many knives. A great product that I would definitely recommend.

The Bellemain 100% Pure Bamboo In-Drawer Knife Storage is a great addition to my kitchen. It provides a nice, organized way to store knives of various sizes, and everything fits securely in place. I especially appreciate how it frees up space on my countertop by eliminating the need for a bulky knife block. The bamboo is sturdy and looks great inside the drawer. I bought this Bellemain Drawer Knife Organizer to fit inside my new drawers beside the larger one I already had. The fit was perfect; it fit very well in the space I had available. It holds different types and sizes of knives and it holds 16 knives in such a small area. Very sturdy and at a good value. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a smaller-sized Drawer Knife Organizer.
