Worth the money, and it works as advertised. ...
Worth the money, and it works as advertised. I use it to fool a Chromecast Ultra into providing Dolby Digital ("DD") to an LG OLED E6, and through to, or directly to, my old Denon 3313CI. The LG can pass through DD to the Denon, but for some reason, the Chromecast does not sense that the LG can handle DD, and only provides stereo when connected directly to the LG. The Denon will get DD from the Chromecast when it is plugged into the Denon directly, but the Denon is incapable of HDCP 2.2 or HDR, so I have to connect the Chromecast directly to the TV to enable those technologies. With the AVR Key interposed between them, the Chromecast gives the LG DD (and it also simultaneously sends the Denon DD through an HDMI cable if you want to do that). The AVR Key also passes through HDR and Dolby Vision perfectly. I have tried other solutions, which did not meet my needs for one reason or another, but this device works extremely well, and I do not detect any degradation in the picture quality.

Expensive but gives you max video and sound quality
Works as advertised right out of the box. Solved my problem. I connect my Xbox one s to the Avrkey. The Avrkey sends HDR video to the tv and Atmos audio to the AVR. My AVR is supposed to do this but the HDR handshake is balky so I used this instead. Subtracted a star because of the high price. The product is great but I will never again buy anything high priced from Monoprice. If they drop the price within the 30 day return window, they expect the customer to go to the trouble of returning the original product and buying it again instead of just refunding the difference. Stick with retailers such as Best Buy, that are customer friendly regarding price protection.

The only product that actually worked
I was trying to put the HDFury key in the ARC path between my new Sony Master Series OLED TV and my older Marantz AV7701 and was having no luck no matter what I tried (yes I enabled HDMI). I almost returned this but then I was able to have success when I put it in between a Roku device (which I had to purchase instead of being able to use the apps in my smart tv), and the AVR, splitting the audio and video, sending the audio to the AVR, and the video to the TV directly. I've tried all the lesser expensive HDCP conversion options and none of them worked until this. Very satisfied as it was plug and play after installing the firmware.

HDCP 2.2 goodness for us guys packing 2.0 AVRs
I love the HD Fury guys. This is my second piece of gear from them. Super easy to use and does exactly what it says. I run my Apple TV 4k into it, and then off to my 930C Sony TV and Denon AVR 5200. Now I can get 4k and Atmos sound. Get this and you will not be dissapointed. It’s also not too big.

Saved me from buying a new AVR
If you have a 4K TV but a outdated AVR and want 4K at 60hz without downgrading sound quality this device is a must if you want audio coming out of your AVR.

Drops Dolby Vision video after few minutes
I bought the AVR KEY to split video from my Apple 4K TV to my Dolby Vision TV and audio to my Dolby ATMOS receiver which is not DV compatible. Everything was working but only lasted for 3-5 minutes and video started to drop. I only use certified 18Gz Blue Jeans cables and everything works perfectly in DV when linked straight to the TV . It also gets CRAZY HOT!

works as advertised
i got this to connect apple tv 4K to LG OLED TV and full resolution audio to pioneer SC 85 AVR, my set up was Apple tV connected to LG Directly and from TV optical cable was delivering DD audio to AVR, now Netflix, VUDU and Amazon prime started to deliver Dolby Atmos audio, it was an issue as my AVR is not HDCP 2.2 nor it passes Dolby y Vision. i do not want to spent $1600 plus on new AVR. although this is way over priced in my opinion as blu ray players giving two Hdmi outputs for under $200 including 4K Blu-ray and apps built in to player.it is easy to connect, set bot audio to middle point in my case for full audio and DV. One concern is unit get hot, it is sitting on glass shelve, i am hoping heat is not an issue, that is my only concern. so this is expensive but relatively cheaper solution if one needs High resolution audio, if one do not have Dolby Atmos 7.1 system i would stick to DD with old AVR either using optical from tv or ARC from tv HDMI.

I like it
Work great at the moment, I’m using it with shield tv, I got dolby vision and hdr 10 contents from netflix or local dv and hdr contents without problem on my tv, now I can enjoy hdr with dts hd on my old yamaha amp... The only problem is the overheat, I had to put the key above a cpu fan to keep it cool...
