I have a new Vevor Food Slicer with an extremely sharp slicer blade. (Think of a 10" circular razor blade.) It does a nice job slicing, but it's pretty scary to deal with that much of an extremely sharp edge. I bought this glove to handle the blade when I'm disassembling and cleaning the slicer, and couldn't be happier. While I think the sizes are somewhat small (I have big hands, and the XL was kind of snug), I've gotten used to the tight fit, and feel comfortable using it. I can't, however, imagine wearing the steel mesh glove with the insider cloth liner- it would be WAAY too tight. Plus, I'm not sure what the cloth liner does anyway. (Anything liquid is going to soak through the mesh AND the fabric, so what's the point?) My only question / concern is that this glove seems to be for a left-hand, and I'm not sure if I was supposed to order a different (2nd?) right-handed glove, or if this is somewhat reversable?

Bought this product because I bleed profusely when cut. This product works exactly as expected. It's great. I just don't know that I will use it as consistently as I could or should. You have to remember and then you have clean it after.

Must have for cutting in the kitchen. Durable even using while slicing into julienne strips on a mandolin. I would recommend getting a size bigger than what you think you'll need because the fit of the glove can be snug. When I used it, the glove protected my hand from the sharp blades of the mandolin. Your hand is steady while using it, there's no slipping.

Size is smaller than it should be. I ordered a medium based on the size chart. The palm size is fine, but the fingers are too short. It is still ok for me to wear, but would be much more comfortable if the fingers were longer. If I get the large, the Palm would probably be too large. Overall, the glove and liner feel like a high quality material. The liner is soft but again the fingers are too short.

This glove has saved me several knicks and cuts while filleting fish and is worth the purchase. After awhile the metal threads do start to Frey a little and will poke at you. But that’s a decent trade off for the protection in my opinion. I will buy again when I need too.

I really like this glove. I cook a lot; it’s my hobby and how I relax. I have good knife skills, but since I’ve developed severe nerve and tendon damage in my hands lately, I bought a mandolin to do the job. And then promptly lost the protective hand guard for it. I grated the tip of my index finger off, which is why I bought this glove. It definitely protects your finger tips and palms from the wickedly sharp blades on my mandolin and my chefs knife. I will say to be as accurate as possible when you measure your hand to choose a size. It’s very important to be able to pull on the liner and glove snugly but also without having the fingers too long, because they’ll curl under and make it too hard to use whatever blade you’re using. I was on the smaller side of the Medium’s specs, so I got a medium. It fits perfectly, with no empty finger space and goes on fairly easily. It is snug without being tight or constricting, and I believe it will be durable.
