I installed these on my mother’s 2007 Toyota Camry, and they appear to be working just as well as the original hood lift supports. The installation was very simple—removing the old ones and installing the new ones was quick and straightforward. They were also well packaged and arrived in good condition. For the price, these seem like a great replacement option. So far, I’m very happy with them and would recommend them to others with a compatible Camry.

The product is good. It's a quick install, I do it myself, I stuck my 1-liter bottle to support the hood from closing itself. or you can just have another person holding it for you just be on the safe side. 1) First right after taking out of the box, remove the strut from the compressed ties. (Either cut ties with scissors or use screwdriver, pry to the side carefully, when you are doing that avoid pointing the struts towards yourself or anyone. 2) IMPORTANT!! You will need to swap the ball clipper joint by unscrewing them, the ones with slight angled should be on the rod side, the straight one on the thick piston side. 3) Remove the old struts by unclipping using a small flat screwdriver. One at a time, remove one, install one is what I meant. 4) To install, you just need to push it into the ball socket, always install the top hood end. and then the bottom end, the car engine bay side, the same way pushes it into the ball socket, do not mess with the clips. Once done, you can work on the other side. *Note I Install the struts right side up just as it was originally, I would not agree with some of the comments that they install it upside down, The quality of the product looks as beefy as the original, I hope it will last. will update again when I need to replace them.

It is 2026 and I bought these in like 2019 or 2020 and they have so far held up nicely. I would recommend.

These fit a 2009 Toyota Camry. You will need to swap the ends; they unscrew easily and can be moved quickly without issue. I ran into a problem on the last connection. Installed the first strut in about a minute or less. On the second strut one of the clips slipped into the connector making it difficult to extract. There is a small bump that is supposed to prevent this but it got right by and buried itself into the fitting. It was a pain to remove and I ended up bending it beyond use. I wound up using a clip from the old struts and all seems to be working. The product is strong, actually slowly raising the hood and holding it firmly in place.

When I pop my hood now I lightly lift it before these kick in and open my hood all the way for me. To close the hood now takes a bit more force to pull down but thats okay because you know it wont drop on you. Would buy again if ever needed.

So so fitment on my 2007 Camry XLE but do fit with a little bit of fiddling and do the job. Can’t complain too much considering the price point.

Bought for my Toyota Camry, and during replacement I found the only way they will fit is if the gas tubes are topside, that is to say attached to the hood. Normally, gas tubes are attached to the car body and the arms extend to the hood. In this case, the fittings were put on opposite when manufactured, with the angled fitting (that should go on the hood ball end) was on the gas tube end. So I had to put them on upside down. Not a dealbreaker, they work, just looks odd.
