This is great for homes with pets.
We have dog with very fine hair. She sheds a lot. The laser on this vacuum is fantastic because you can clearly see the hair on our hardwood floor. The attachment for carpet is also great at capturing everything on the rug. The suction gets below the fibers and picks up dirt. Despite the cost, I think this is a great investment. Our old Dyson is still working after 14 years! The only thing I don’t like is that the button to operate it needs to be held the entire time you are using it. It should lock on and have a release to turn it off. It stays charged long enough to clean our entire first floor and the stairs. It maneuvers easily around and under furniture. I need to find a place to keep the charging stand where I can keep it plugged in. It’s not wall mounted. Because it is so small, the extra tools don’t attach and a storage place is needed for those. It’s very easy to swap out the different parts.

Perfect for my Cleaning Needs
I have hardwood floors, hairy cats, dogs, and messy birds. This unit's suction does not compare to a larger electric unit but it is more than enough to meet my needs. My mom has an electric Dyson ball for her house and that beats this vacuum's suction no question. It is MUCH easier to remove a blockage from this unit if a cat or dog toy is accidentally sucked up while cleaning. Pop off the cover and anything stuck can be poked out whereas other units with hose connections require unscrewing pieces and digging out little squishy balls, sometimes leaves, got a straw stuck in a Dyson ball once, no idea how. After prolonged use my forearm arm does get a bit tired but switching arms or using both hands to maneuver the vacuum relieves that discomfort. I do have issues with the nerves in my dominant arm so that does factor into how quickly I will experience fatigue if I don't alternate regularly. The different attachments are nice but for the price Dyson really needs to include a little storage case for the attachments that aren't in use. There are some holsters on the charging stand to hang up a few of the unused heads but a few more hangers would be nice to keep everything together. It took me a while to adjust to keeping my finger on the trigger to vacuum but it is nice being able to quickly react if I want to prevent something from getting sucked up. It was also a bit weird being so close to the blowout from the vacuum so I'm still finding the best way to hold the vacuum so it doesn't blow into hair whisps and dust I am trying to vacuum up or blow air directly into my face. So far I am satisfied with the results but would only buy while a sale is going on.

Much more convenient and versatile
I had a Shark (gave it away after trying this). I have a big Dyson corded vacuum. I'm giving it to a shelter. This is the only vacuum I need aside from a shop vac for that sort of mess. It is super easy. I like the head with the laser. Works great and really shows where there's dirt. I highly recommend the package with the stand and accessories. It should include the accessories racks, but it doesn't. Also did not include the extension flexible hose. Those accessories you have to get separately. With that system, this does everything I need. For wet clean up, I have a modern design mop, but for anything dry, this is really great.

The V15 really has great suction!
I purchased this to replace my old Hoover cordless vacuum. I had the Hoover for several years and the batteries finally died. They are obsolete, Hoover doesn't make them anymore. This Dyson V15 is very expensive but it does work very well. The suction is terrific, our scatter rugs never looked so clean. The hardwood floors are cleaner. The light on the hardwood floor attachment really works well showing up the dust.I also like how easy it is to clean the canister out.My wife really likes it a lot.If I could suggest one improvement it would be with the switch. It is a momentary switch so you have to leave your finger on the trigger all the time during cleaning. It would be nice to have the option of both momentary and a lock on the switch to keep the vacuum running without holding your finger on the switch. But it really is a great cordless vacuum.

STRAIGHT TRASH
This is a cool vacuum for the 10 minutes that it's been usable. I used it twice and the battery crapped out on me. Called their support, and it took over a week to ship me a new battery. The new battery lasts no more than 30 minutes. The different tools and heads that it has started falling apart after 5 minutes of use. I've called support as my product is still under warranty and the parts were out of stock. They said it will take 2-3 weeks to restock. You have to continuously hold the trigger to run the vacuum which is baffling for how high tech this thing is. Guess what. You gotta buy another part that 3rd party companies have created that allow you to keep the vacuum on without constantly holding the trigger. This thing has basically been a $800+ piece of trash taking up space in my garage.Update: It's now been 7 months since I've been trying to get this issue resolved. Part never came in stock so I eventually just sent in the whole machine for replacement. They told me the new one would come in 7 days. It's been over a month. Dyson's operations and logistics as a company seem to be wildly inefficient and slow. Today I also received an email that the replacement is now also out of stock. Decent products but the company is a joke.

Great Quality / Not an Hour Run Time
Overall happy with product.Ease of use is there + assembly.Everything connects as it should and easy to swap heads..Main issue I have the 2 below:I wish you didn’t have to hold the button down the whole time since it starts to strain your hand after a while. (if you plan on vacuuming the house you have to swap hands which can feel awkward). There needs to be a lock feature to keep the vacuum on.Run Time states 1 hour but is closer to 40 minutes (I have to go over carpet plus hardwood floor)
