Chunky
This was my first Conklin. Wasn't sure what to expect. As a leather crafter, I wanted this pen just because it was leather wrapped. 1st impression was this thing reminded me of the pencils and crayons kindergarten kids use. Very chunky. Converter or cartridge, it works flawlessly and writes beautifully.

Smells like leather
Not the finest quality leather but did have a leather smell. Really hard to get the cap back on to line up the stitching but the pen works great.
