We have used this for over a year now. Of course you do have to change out the filters periodically but this has been a game changer for us.

Does the job, good to have when SHTF

I am so disappointed with this water filtration: 1)One of the white filters does not let any water through. 2) After ‘filtration’ water smells like burn, fishy plastic.

The unit works as advertised and is simple to put together. However.... In my case we have very hard water and very high TDS where I live so I opted for the TDS filters to add to it. They did their job but that caused the pH to drop to about 3.4. I'm still learning this water stuff but that's no good for my plants or for me from what I read. Without the tds filters TDS is unaffected but in my house that means 1000ppm from my tap! This also isn't good. My only point is this thing may depend on your actual needs..I got a countertop RO machine for my drinking water for not much more and both the TDS and pH are great for drinking. However I'm a bit of a prepper so I wanted this for such an occasion or camping. Plus I wanted it for my plants to reduce the wear and tear on my counter top RO filter. The unit works great and I have zero complaints otherwise..this is more about understanding what you expect or didn't expect from the water and you won't know that if you don't test it.
