Don’t buy very lousy product
This is a poorly made product I bought for pcs and had to chuck it in binVery dangerous I had cuts and bleeding using it

Fit for purpose but check the sizing
This is an inexpensive gadget and is fit for purpose. I would agree with an earlier comment that the spring is tight and it does end up hurting your thumb after time. It also catapults the falafel mix into hot oil, so a bit of technique is required to limit burnt hands! If I have any complaints, it’s that I wish I had paid more attention to the size. These make quite small falafel and having two scoops of the same size isn’t really much use to me. If two of you are making falafel, then obviously, two of the same size would be preferable. I’d certainly go at least 1cm up. This error was mine so I won’t send them back. I’ll probably just purchase another double set with different sizes.

Great, but hurt your thumb
Great product. Shapes falafels nicely. Purchased dozens of these and have made quite literally hundreds thousands of falafels with these in a commercial setting. Thumb hurts like mad with that small lever poking your digit several hundred times a day.Easy to disassemble and clean, just make sure you don't drop and lose the small parts. This is a necessity as mix can and does get behing the plate and into the mechanism. Maybe not too much of an issue for home/casual use, still hygenically necessary. All metal construction is a plus for cleaning and hygieneKeep the spring oiled for good mechanical function. Keep the main surfaces lightly oiled for good falafel separation. If your falafels fall apart, it's not because of this device, it is your recipe.The plate has fallen off a small number of these. Could be faulty construction, could be rough handling. For me they have made their value back a thousand times over, so not too much of a concern. For casual/home use, disassemble first for cleaning before first use and make sure all parts are solid and secure.

Take the spring out to make it easier to operate

A big disappointment
It's impossible to clean properly - tiny scraps of mixture would get down the sides and rot there, becoming a health hazard.
