HEAVY DUTY Double 4ft 6 Pine Bed Frame - Includes centre rail and centre leg

Really impressed with this bed; I've had many over the years, and rarely does a bed in this price range feel as sturdy and well cut as this. There is loads of storage space underneath, those few extra cm allowed me to store double the number of boxes i had under the bed it replaced. Although it is easy to build, especially if you have experience with building these kind of beds (it can be built by 1 person, a second would make a little difference but i didn't need it), the instructions are a little confusing in their wording and because there are a few different models all explained at the same time - but thats a minor complaint. Highly recommend this bed if this is the price range you are looking at, or even if you are considering spending a little more from the various high street options available - non of which come close to this in terms of sturdyness.

The plus points first. This bed frame is excellent value for money. It is also a very sturdy frame once you've constructed it properly. Having seven legs instead of the normal four helps in that department, as does the use of extra wide slats. And unlike many other 'build it yourself' items of furniture I've had in the past, there were no numerical shortages in the dowels, screws and bolts department (about twice as many dowels & screws as required and spot on for the nuts and bolts). However, there are a few things that purchasers need to be aware of. This is very much a kit, so it takes a fair amount of effort and a few basic woodworking tools and supplies to put it all together. The supplied instructions are better than average, which helps. On our bed, some of the slats were too long by a few mm, so had to be trimmed. A few of the screws were a bit 'weedy' for my liking so I replaced them with thicker ones which are less likely to shear (I'm a bit of an over engineerer). The centre bar (from head to foot) rattles around in the metal holders, so needs a bit of packing to hold it in place. The wood supplied is raw pine, so be prepared for issues with resin weep (you'll need some meths to wipe it off then some knotting fluid to seal it). And finally, make sure you take account of the height of the headboard when buying a mattress - you can just about have a 10" thick one but thinner is better if you don't want the pillows to fall over the top. N.B. The company does make bed frames with higher headboards. Would I buy this bed frame again? The answer is a resounding yes as the pluses far outweigh the minuses. It was well worth the extra effort as the completed bed frame looks good and is very strong.

This is the second bed I have had from this seller, very impressed by the quality, sturdy wood, easy to assemble with clear instructions. No missing bits, colour coding for assembly - bed looks great once assembled and would be easy to wax or stain if required. Definitely recommend.

I find the bed comfortable and overall happy with it for the price at the time of buying. Delivery experience was not good, advertised as "room of your choice", when I bought it on Amazon, yet dropped outside my door. Not being able to carry 25kg, I had to bring it in in parts. Assembly was quite challenging, but managed to do it. The side rails are in two pieces, not in one as on the picture or the assembly guide, the correct guide was later emailed to me. Although the bed is comfortable and quite stable, I wonder how it could take the advertised maximum weight. It does get a bit squeaky and I had to tighten a couple of screws after a few weeks, despite having used the glue provided.

So far so good im a big guy so was looking for a good sturdy bed once assembled this is solid as a rock just follow the instructions to a T. Capable of supporting me the wife and the kids love the smell of the wood and it was a bargain as well. i haven't came into any problems that others may have had delivery was grand and all pieces were there. if it keeps it up i will order more beds when required and would recommend these!

Easy to assemble, sturdy,and good value for the money. I would recommend it for anyone on a budget or for people in general

This is very sturdy replacement for a bed that broke. Easy to put together and good value. Can’t really go wrong
