You’re probably here because you live in a state that requires front license plates, and need a bracket for your Grand Cherokee...Seems there are a few part numbers for front license plate brackets for WK2 Grand Cherokees depending on year and trim level…i can’t tell you which is the right one for yours, but this version *was* the correct fit for my 2018 Grand Cherokee Laredo. The profile is exact fit with my bumper. Installation was easy, line up the dimples in the bumper with the screw holes and screw them in. Unfortunately yes you do have to screw directly into the bumper cover…so there will be holes if you ever take this off.

Perfect fit on 2018 WK2 Trailhawk. My only complaint is that all 6 screws were the same length though the instructions say the 2 for the plate are supposed to be shorter. Not a big deal to me though - 6 holes in the bumper instead of 4. Mount is solid, fits the contour perfectly and was simple to install. I do recommend drilling pilot holes even though the screws are self tapping. This can just help guarantee no unintentional damage.
