My kitchen is now a Jurassic disaster zone, and I’ve never been prouder.
Bought this for my kid. That was the official excuse. In reality, I wanted to live out my fantasy of becoming a world-renowned paleontologist-sculptor hybrid who works in clay and chaos. Mission accomplished. The kit comes with everything you need to make little dino masterpieces—or, in our case, deformed lizards that look like they’ve seen things. My T-Rex came out looking like he’d had a mid-life crisis and now works part-time at a gas station. My kid made a Triceratops with a sideways horn and named him “Steve.” Steve has become our emotional support dinosaur. The clay is colorful, soft, and moldable—until it mysteriously disappears and shows up days later under your shoe, behind the couch, and once, somehow... on the dog. National Geographic, how did you pack this much fun AND chaos into one box? I feel both amazed and personally attacked. The educational guide was a nice touch—my child learned actual facts, like how the Stegosaurus had a brain the size of a walnut, and I learned that stepping barefoot on a clay Velociraptor tail is worse than stepping on a LEGO. Barely. We had a blast for hours. HOURS. Which, in parent time, is basically a spa retreat. My house looks like a prehistoric crime scene, and my kitchen table has become the official Dino Display Museum (admission: one juice box). Final verdict: this kit is amazing. It’s messy, it’s silly, it’s educational, and it makes you feel like you’re Michelangelo sculpting dinosaurs during a sugar rush. 10/10 would buy again. In fact, I might need another one… Steve’s lonely.

Fun activity for Dino lovers!
This kit comes with the skeletons of many different dinosaurs and the clay to cover them with skin, as well as googly eyes to complete the look. The clay has a light, almost foamy kind of texture which makes it less sticky, which is good, especially if the child wants to remove a part that was applied to redo it. My 2 grandsons really enjoyed this kit, and had a lot of fun making the dinosaurs look very unique by using more than one color! The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the clay wasn't the easiest stuff to work with, and the eyes didn't stick very well. We eventually used some glue to make them stay on, which is no big deal. Also, getting them to look like the ones on the box was impossible! As long as you realize it's not going to be perfect, kids can have a lot of fun with this activity!

Fantastic Product
My kids adored this kit, even my son who has issues with some textures. Worth every penny. The only problem? It seems to be the only kit of its kind. I wish there were ones for fantasy creatures, various types of animals, machine structure, the possibilities are endless. It was super easy to clean up, and no stains I noticed. There is a sculpting tool I used, but my kids ignored almost completely. They were entertained and now the clay is dry and they are finding even more fun playing with their newly made sculptures.

Dino-Mite Christmas!
I gave this clay dinosaur kit to my grandson for Christmas, and it was an instant hit! As soon as he saw the box, he roared like a T-Rex and dove right in. The air-dry clay was easy for his little hands to mold, and the step-by-step instructions made it fun and frustration-free. He proudly displayed his colorful dino creations on the mantle like museum pieces! It was the perfect mix of creativity, learning, and prehistoric fun. Bonus points for keeping him happily busy while the adults cleaned up wrapping paper. Highly recommend for any young paleontologist-in-training!

Recomiendo.

Accessible creative fun. Not too messy.
This worked well for a three year old but would probably be even better for age 4 to 6. All five colours of "clay" were bright and all were easy to mould. There's a little scientific info provided, and the idea is that you feel like a paleontologist "reconstructing" the dinosaur based on the skeleton you have found. The clay is light, a bit like mousse consistency. On a warm summer's day, outside, a couple of the colours felt really sticky, so maybe half an hour in the fridge might have helped? They did start to dry out after an hour or so and become harder to work with (this is the intention, that they should dry out to a permanent shape). Again, I think there might have been more workable time if we had done it inside, in a cool room. The clay seems to be fairly easy to remove from clothing, tabletops etc. using another lump of clay.
