As a Game Design student the programs I use take up a lot of space but thanks to this I don’t have to worry so much as there’s a lot of space to work with.Download, Delete and Run speed: excellent as it works at a fast paceSize:Nicely compact and even fits in a Nintendo DS light caseDisk space (2TB):Amazing for designersDamage impact:I dropped it one and knocked it a few times when being loose in a back pack but still works perfectly fine.Price at the time:It was roughly £30 off using prime and it was amazing for my pocket as a student.EDIT: its now 2021 and the drive is still going strong, i have used it since that start of uni and now in a graduate. dont use it as much anymore but i still use it time to time and i have had no issues with speed, files missing or broken parts.

Lost several days worth of work by trusting that it had saved to this device. It had saved but the filetable was corrupt so lost a lot of data. After chkdsk /R it appeared to be ok but has lost files 3 times since then, each time requiring a chkdsk /R before i could access it again. The last song I was working on was saved with 6 different versions but I just found them all to be 0kb files which are obviously useless. I'm an IT guy so I know all about ejecting the drive and disabling write-behind caching but I was still unable to operate this drive reliably. Surface tests reveal no problem with the disk but it's losing stuff so I am no longer prepared to trust itThe returns window here only seems to be about a month so will have to try to contact Toshiba now - It's meant to have a 2 year warranty but you'd better hope it fails in the first month or you'll be stuck trying to find how to return direct to Toshiba

Eine Rezension über eine externe Festplatte zu verfassen, fällt mir nicht allzu leicht, denn ich nutze sie in erster Linie dazu, Backups von meinem Live-System zu erstellen. Dazu ist diese Festplatte mehr als ausreichend geeignet. Diese Festplatte hat - wie generell 2,5"-Festplatten - keinen eigenen Stromanschluss, sondern wird komplett über den USB-Anschluss mit Strom versorgt.Sollten Sie einen USB-Hub zur Verbindung mit dem PC verwenden, würde ich die Anschaffung eines USB-Hubs mit Netzteil empfehlen, die es bereits sehr günstig hier auf Amazon gibt, nur um sicherzugehen, dass die Festplatte auch wirklich durchgehend ausreichend mit Strom versorgt wird. Gerade, wenn mehrere Geräte an einem Hub hängen, kann es nämlich vorkommen, dass der Strom aus der USB-Buchse nicht mehr für jedes Gerät ganz ausreicht, was gerade bei einer Festplatte nicht so günstig ist.

Hard disk buono, ottime caratteristiche, veloce

Die Toshiba Canvio Festplatte (500GB) ist für mich eine sehr gute Festplatte, die meine Daten schnell überträgt. Sie ist ca. handflächengroß und wird lediglich per USB mit dem PC/Notebook verbunden. Ein schmales Licht an der Oberseite des Gehäuses indiziert dann die Verbundenheit mit dem Gerät und sie ist auch bei voller Datenübertragung sehr leise. Ich würde daher diese externe Festplatte jedem empfehlen, der ein wenig Platz auf seinem Rechner schaffen möchte. Zudem passt sie in silber sehr gut zu einem Macbook.
