One of the things I like most about this charger is the ability to set the charging current to 5, 10, or 18 amps (on the 36V setting). The 18 amp setting is great for when you need to charge up quickly. But putting that much current into the batteries does cause hydrogen bubbling (some think this is "boiling", which it is not) and will cause some loss of the water in the battery. I use my golf cart for an extended period, but only once a day. So there's plenty of time to recharge before the next use, which allows me to use a lower current setting. In general, slower charging will help the batteries last longer, and reduce maintenance, so I really like that I can use those lower settings. Other chargers don't allow that.I also like the display. It cycles through a number of readings such as voltage, charge current, ambient temperature, amp-hours, etc. Give you a lot of information about what's going on. And it gives a clear indication of when the battery is charged by displaying "Full". So much better than the idiot lights on most chargers. The only thing that could be improved is the length of the cables. The cord from the charger to the golf cart is very short so you'll have to have the charger right next to it, or sitting on the floor of the cart. The AC cord is about the length of a typical appliance cord so you'll likely need an extension cord unless you're very close to an outlet.I know some other reviewers have reported premature failures so I hope this charger lasts. I love the design and the features.

I have been using this charger dialy for over a month and I have had no issues. Charger was easy to use, just hook it up. I think the price is nice and in align with the quality of this charger. I would buy again. 5 STARS
