Good quality ink stick.
Amazing! Couldn't believe I can buy this Chinese ink stick on amazon.co.uk, also at this very reasonable price!!! Bought a set of Chinese caligraphy set in China but left the ink stick out. So sad, thought I had to wait for the next visit to China. Not until I tried to search Chinese black ink on amazon and got this. So pleased! at the price of just over 5pounds, you get '2', not just 1! only a little more expensive than you buy it in China. and the quality is good as well. What can I say?

Excellent ink!!!!
My wife and I watched a television programme from Korea about the items would find on a scholar's table in the past - the brushes, ink, inkstone etc. An expert in calligraphy then explained the finer points of what had been discovered over time to be necessary for the best quality of ink, and how that had to be made from the black soot you get from burning pine in a traditional oven. This ink is precisely in that historic tradition, very good indeed!

Pretty design but the foil gets in your ink
I really love the pretty design on these ink sticks. It found it easy to use and it made a nice dark ink.The only thing I had trouble with was the foil design coming away as the stick wore down leaving tiny bits of foil in the ink which were a pain to fish out.
