Fantastic quality binoculars at a relitivly low price!
Pros: Low price for well made binoculars, very clear and crisp, not foggy, when looking through the lenses. let's in a lot of light, nice rubber coating that's makes it easier to hold on to, has an attachment for cellphone to take photos of image, nice carry bag. Cons: A little to heavy to cary around the neck when hiking or a long time outdoors. I was skeptical to buy these from the relitivly low price and from the reviews. Reviews are just people's opinion. Sometimes reviews say that a product is good quality when, in fact, the product was not good quality. But when I first used them, they were fantastic for the reasons I have already written. I have had then for about a year. I have used them many times. So I have basically have "field tested" them many times. I think that they are made very solid. But, I also have a pair of light compact binoculars to hang around my neck for hiking and wearing them for a long time outdoors. That said, I would still definitely recommend these great binoculars!!!

Excellent Value and Quality 15x52 Binoculars
I am somewhat surprised at the excellent imagery of these rather inexpensive Gigapenguin 15x52 roof prism binoculars. The contrast, color and definition I find are quite good and the binoculars do not feel that heavy to me. They have a certain ruggedness that feels comfortable and durable in use. As an example of the image quality, viewing a distant sun glint off shiny metal displays a sharp, white dot, without color aberration or expansive rays of light. I'm not sure how they do it, but if all the copies of these 15x52 binoculars are similar in quality, they are a very good buy.

Great optics at such a reasonable price!
After using my Gigapenguin 15X52 binoculars for several weeks now, I felt that a more thorough explanation of my experience with these binoculars was called for. The Gigapenguin 15X52 binoculars is an obviously high quality optical device that delivers extremely sharp, bright images in all conditions. I’m a consumer products designer by trade and I was very impressed with the design and construction of the device. Generally, more reasonably priced devices like this are nowhere as solidly constructed. The case wall thickness is very robust and the heft of the device gives the new owner great confidence in a long term “relationship”. They are definitely a "2 hand” type of device. At a price that most people could afford for “pro-sumer” level optics, the issue of weight vs. optical power is a given. I can say that these binoculars are definitely NOT a candidate for being carried in one’s pocket. The soft injection molded foam eye cups are extremely comfortable and cushion my eye sockets very well. Having tried many other devices like this over the years, I found that I was generally not very satisfied with the comfort of the device against my face, much less a superior ability to “zoom in” for long distance images. Adding to my challenge to find a better quality device at a reasonable price was the fact that eyes are corrected to “mono vision” which can be a challenge for some devices BUT this pair does work extremely well. Monovision means that one eye is corrected to one prescription while the other eye is corrected to a different prescription. The challenge for me is that I am forced to depend on my brain “melding” the two visual images to form one clear image. Not understanding the finer points of optics, I was very impressed with my ability to see thru the Gigapenguin binocs as well as I do. My only suggestion as to how to achieve the very best binocular experience using these is that a tripod (not included) would make the viewing experience absolutely perfect. As one fixes on a distant target, the binoculars, being a solidly constructed as they are, are more challenging to hold stable……a tripod would address this issue and please keep in mind that ANY 15X52 binoculars will be similarly challenged. A point about the weight: while one should never drop the binoculars, especially on a hard surface, the construction of the binocs feels like it would survive an accidental stumble. I should know because I confess to having dropped them on our hard wood floor. I won’t make that mistake again but I mention it as a warning. High power binoculars are by their very nature, heavier than pocket size devices. I suggest using the included straps when using the device, just in case. I do the same thing when using my digital camera…….why take a chance? We live in an area overflown by both commercial and military aircraft and one of my “hobbies” is running outside when I hear the engine sound to identify the aircraft type. The higher in altitude the aircraft in question is, the harder it is to maintain the image in a stable manner w/o some minor movement in my hands. These binoculars are very substantial and definitely NOT lightweight, which makes the use of a tripod almost mandatory. While not the lightest binoculars that I’ve ever owned, the performance is so good that the weight is a reasonable trade-off. Helping your ability to securely hold the device, the molded-in hand grips are really comfortable to hold as long as you keep your expectations reasonable, again given the weight. The product is packed out with a really nice fitted nylon carrying case with straps, a lens cleaning cloth and protective caps for both ends. The instruction booklet included is well written and a help to the new user………read it once, at least, before you take the binoculars out to use. This binoculars also includes a cell phone clip BUT I didn’t purchase the device to use a cell phone with the binoculars so will not comment on how useful this feature might be. I’m looking forward to years of trouble free use!

Good mid quality
These I actually like, I’ve never had a pair that worked for me which these do, they are lacking a little in quality but are reasonably priced and get the job done

Beautiful images.
Crystal clear; bright optics; very easy to focus. Light - easy to hold still, even though it's 15x magnification. The 52mm objective produces nice bright, clear images. The eyepiece lenses, being larger than normal, offer a wide field of view, as well as great eye relief for both glasses-wearers and naked-eye viewing. Also, the cell phone adapter included is a real asset, and easy to align your cell phone camera lens with the binocular eyepiece. I sent photos of our backyard neighbor without the binoculars and with the binoculars.

Durable, Clear Viewing and Lightweight
Besides product being ideal for this amateur bird watcher and stargazer, customer service follows through and is reliable. Helpful in getting me started with correct tripod adapter and prior issue on Amazon losing my first order. Amazon did make good for lost item in transit and second order came through with no issues. Have gone through telescopes, monacles and other binoculars to pursue my stargazing. Found these to be just right for my purposes. The 15 magnification is better for handheld binocular particularly in lessening any jitters in the star you are watching. Expect to get an even better experience when I hook up to the tripod. I had just returned a 20x70 pair from another maker as they were too heavy, cumbersome and would not focus. 20x magnification no help if you can't see anything. Telescopes for stargazing were no help and difficult to get in focus. Stars jittered. These Gigapenguins came out of the box with little to do to get a clear focus on a bird or a star. While these are of high quality and durable, they are also light weight and easy to handle. The clarity was distinctly noticeable, and I am most pleased with my new acquisition. These will be my go-to binoculars now. Know I could further count on this Seller if I ever had an issue.

Not bad for the money…
Put these up 15x52’s up against my slightly lower powered (but more expensive) Vortex Crossfire HD 10x50’s. My review will be based off this comparison. The Vortex retails around $170 while this unit lists for $150 (Black Friday about $80). Fit and finish is comparable- both units look and feel well made. This binocular weighs noticeably less, though it’s possible the lightweight materials come at a cost to the end product. Features are typical of most low to mid-range bino’s with carry case (single strap unlike the Vortex which incorporate a shoulder harness- and more attractive carry case), and rubber caps for both eyepiece and objective. Controls are intuitive and focus is good. Glass is clear- respectable, especially if you have minimal experience and are looking for a good low-cost option. Field of view for this unit is less than the lower powered Vortex, which would be expected from higher magnification, but not worth the trade off at this level. Low-light transmission goes to the Vortex, which is also somewhat expected by its lower magnification, but the larger objective of this unit should level the field. In a side-by-side comparison, the clarity is close during daylight hours. And while this may seem like a plug for the opponent, these binoculars are a contender- especially at holiday pricing for the budget minded consumer. I have optics from the the tens, to the thousands of dollars and know everything has its place. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these binoculars as a back-up, gift for a first timer, or weekender. I like this product due to cost, and their lightweight nature. I didn’t deduct for having to return the initial product I received which was a lower powered model than I ordered and had to return. A first time buyer should purchase with confidence. A seasoned optics consumer should understand the tradeoff…

Extremely Impressed!!!!
This is my first pair of binoculars, so I didn’t have anything to really compare them to. I did a lot of researching and comparing on different pairs before purchasing these, and I’m so happy I found them! Besides the raving reviews from other buyers who had more experience with owning different pairs of binoculars and their explanations of why these were the best, here’s a few key features that ultimately pushed me to chose this pair, and why my wife and I love them. The overall quality and feel of the binoculars- meaning they do not look or feel cheaply made, while still being extremely affordable. The nonslip grip is extremely nice, making them easy to hold, and a more comfortable feel. I love taking them with us for hikes in the mountains. Being compact it barely feels like you’re carrying them with the padded neck strap. I usually don’t find the straps comfortable enough, but this one is actually really nice- I barely notice it. I prefer to have them out to catch wildlife, or to scan long distances while on hikes. The case it comes in is very nice and padded as well, so it’s super easy to throw them in your backpack too if you don’t prefer having them out, on you. The quality of the lenses themselves are out of this world. The images while scanning are crystal- clear, they aren’t super hazy or spotty like some say their older pairs were. It’s so nice how clear the view is through the binoculars, and even for my wife who wears glasses with the features this pair has. She enjoys the cellphone adaptor to take photos or videos of wild life. The images come out extremely clear. I’ll update this review with some of the images she’s caught using them when she sends them to me. The few times the images were a little out of focus we used the focus knobs to adjust, and they work perfectly as expected. The only adapter we haven’t used yet is for the tripod. I highly recommend these, as they have enhanced our time out on the trails. We get to capture wildlife like never before. If you’re a hunter or nature/wildlife enthusiast, I truly believe you would love these binoculars. You can’t beat the quality for the price!

Absolutely excellent binoculars
I've been very pleased with these binoculars since they arrived. They're absolutely excellent quality. The phone attachment is simple to use, but somewhat of a pain to get on and off each time. However, such a bonus to have. It comes with a case and lens covers. Really lovely quality and nice to hold.
