Really nice mounting solution for a reasonable price
I’ve struggled with settling on a mounting solution for my Era 300. Most seem overpriced for what they are. This is the first one I’ve seen that seemed reasonable and it looks almost identical to the other wall mount options. I’m happy I decided to give it a try! It looks very nice with the Era mounted and keeps it close enough to the wall to not be an eyesore. There’s enough angle adjustment to dial it in just right.

Border Line Functional
I already had a pair of very sturdy and stout Mountson mounts on the Era 300's in the living room, however they have constrictive cord accommodations, so I thought I would give these a try in the family room. These do handle the cords better than the Mountsons, but as one of the reviewers pointed out, the speakers list/tilt forward no matter how much you tighten and adjust the tilt mechanism. As in the previous reviewer's case, one of the wall mount brackets on my set also has an issue with level, have tried to level 2X, still not leveling. Finally, used a very thin washer as a shim, took care of the leveling issue.Rather disappointed in the forward list/tilt of the speakers, not a good look and raises concerns about sturdiness and overall stability. Fortunately my speakers are directly mounted over the back of the couch, so...if the mounts fail the speakers will be caught by the back of the couch. I am debating on replacing with the Mountsons since they are far more stable/stout and the speakers not list/tilt forward. Time will tell as to whether I replace these or not.

Good enough for the price
Purchased these over some other Era 300 mounts due to the fact that they don't protrude *as much* from the wall as other options (but still a bit, don't think there's a way around that due to the design of the Era 300 itself). Assembly and mounting was pretty straightforward. I will say that due to the weight of the speakers that these are made to support, it seems almost impossible to get them actually "flat", meaning they do tip forward a bit, even after tightening the adjustment screw per the directions. Also, quality control isn't the best, as one of the units is a little off level, despite the wall-mount portion being perfectly level -- so something to do with the way the metal was assembled resulting a minor, but still perceptible warp. I might have to go back and adjust the wall-mount portion to compensate for the warped portion that attaches to it. I will update is anything appears to be problematic going forward.Note: there is no cord hiding feature built into the unit itself if that's what you're expecting, I knew this going in and since I'm hiding the hanging cords a different way, it didn't affect my purchase decision. This is a small business, so that's always nice if you can support things like that.

Solid mount but should have included the special drywall anchors
So my main beef with this mount is the non-inclusion of proper drywall anchors. Of course no anchors are needed if mounting over wood studs. If mounting over brick or concrete, the plastic anchors are included. However, I would imagine the vast majority of users are going to mount over drywall behind which they may or may not be able to locate studs. In fact, I would venture to guess that many people are going to mount there Era 300 in a corner, making locating studs with enough clearance for the large speaker problematic. So, for the instructions to tell you to 'contact a contractor' or something like that if you're going to mount directly into drywall without a stud behind kind of rubs me the wrong way.Anyway, for me, I had this exact issue and spent way too long trying to locate a suitably placed stud in the corner of the room where I was going to mount the speaker. But, after a couple hours (yes, hours), I finally got it done. Yes, I know I could have gone to a big box hardware store and found the correct anchors for the drywall, but not at midnight when I was actually doing this.Regardless, after less than a day, the mount seems stable. I have it high up in the corner, so I actually want it angled down (ie, not flat and level) as well as twisted towards the center of the room. The way the mount works allows for these adjustments.Only time will tell how stable the mount remains consider the weight of the speaker. I will update my review if anything changes in that or any other respect.
