Great twist
This is a great dog themed twist on Monopoly which swaps out rentals, money and prison with dog bones, toys and kennels, as such it’s a far better game to play with younger players and doesn’t seem to lead to the same tantrum creating game that monopoly provides. It’s a little more basic and easy to understand as well, meaning younger players get more of a chance to compete with older ones. The pieces and the board are all dog themed and work really well to create a great game for dog lovers. We will certainly look at getting the Shih Tzu version.

Good family fun
Great family fun night involved with this, I love the original monopoly but probably maybe a little bit too competitive (so my wife says) however this is more relaxed to play with the kids as long as I win. Very similar to the original game with parts swapped out with bones and doggy toys etc.

Monopoly, With Dogs
I am not sure if Monopoly has come out of copyright, but Cheatwell games must think so as their range of dog-based games is very, very similar to the classic. We have the 'Lab-Opoly' version of the game as we are Lab people. The game is designed to be a fun gift for a Labrador owner, but the game itself still holds up as it is based on the same principles as Monopoly e.g. buy land, pay rent etc. It is just that this time the game is based on one of your favourite breeds of dog. There is more than just Labs to choose from. The setup and style of the game is essentially Monopoly with dogs thrown in. Good Dog or Bad Dog cards instead of Chance, the streets are now dogs. It works as well as the real game and the board itself is well made and the pieces are fun.Hasbro have themselves produced enough novelty versions of Monopoly, so it is not unusual to see one. This version from Cheatwell is not quite as well made but is cheaper. We like the dog look but are not too happy about all the daft outfits that the dogs are made to wear to match their name. A think a more general dog game would have worked better, but that would have led to a falling out in which breeds are the most expensive dogs. Treat this as a fun novelty gift for the dog lover in your life and you are onto a winner as it is a playable game.

Best game we've played in a long time
When I ordered this board game, I chose the Shepherdology version as a lifelong German Shepherd lover. The game arrived and I've loved it since I first opened the box, the little details really do make it perfect. Things like the counter pieces all being dog related things like a big steak or a mailman, the "buildings" are bones or dog toys, the cards all have a German shepherd or dog theme, and even the properties are dog based.Being very similar to a well known property trading game it was super easy to learn how to play, but there is also another suggested version of play in the instructions that only lasts around an hour if you don't want to settle in for a long game.As far as quality goes, it's a very well produced game, all the pieces, cards etc are well made, even the dice are heavy and good quality, the only single issue I could find was when originally opening the board having been folded since production the board didn't want to lie totally flat, I was nervous to bend it any further in case it snapped, but I did and there was no damage to the board.Altogether if you like board games, and you like dogs you can't fail to enjoy this game, we had a lot of laughs playing it and I'm sure you will too. Value wise, it was selling at £24.99 when I ordered it, and I think it's definitely worth at least that amount.

Fun dog themed classic board game
This game is a fun dog themed version of the classic board game. The pieces are dog themed and the houses/hotels are dog themed. The game is pretty much the same except for the theme, however the chance and community chest cards are renamed to "good dog" and "bad dog" cards which is a little confusing as some of the "bad dog" cards are positive and some of the "good dog" cards are negative.
