I usually don't write reviews, although I read them all the time before making any decisions on purchasing products. With this particular product, I was hesitant. There are several out there to choose from and they are all in the same price range for the most part. Also, I wasn't sure if I should get one that comes with its own vacuum or not. I decided after plenty of research to give this one a try. It arrived yesterday and I was excited to try it out. There are two sizes of adapters that plug into the vacuum hose. I have a shark lift away vacuum, so immediately I noticed that the size diameter of the hole on my handle is right about the same size as the large adapter without applying any force. So the adapter just sort set right inside my vacuum. To my surprise, I really didn't have an issue with it falling out during use, and in the future I may switch to a small shop vac. So I deemed it a non-issue. The noise is the same is running the vacuum. Meaning, this product didn't make the noise louder or quieter. My dog get nervous easily, so it took a couple minutes of just letting the vacuum run and coaching him to come over and sniff around and check it out. After a couple minutes he was willing to let me brush him, and after a little while he just laid down and seemed comfortable. As for the function of the brush, that's why I'm taking the time to write this review. In the videos it seems pretty unrealistic that the deshedding brush can collect so much hair and then, with the push of a button, the vacuum just sucks it all in. Let me tell you, honestly, that's exactly how it worked. To my surprise, it was so effective and literally worked just like in the product video. Before, I would use a manual deshedding brush and it worked very well, but I also had to pull the hair off myself after each pass and then do something with the hair; like shove it in a trash bag or an old box. With this product, I cut the time it takes to deshed and brush down from about 20 minutes to about 5 minutes and the process is way cleaner. Also, there is another brush that's larger and is perfect for getting matting or if your dog has a lot of thick feathering on their back legs like mine, it makes it very easy to brush out any tangles. Full transparency, the larger brush tended to hold onto the hair when it retracted back, so the suction on it wasn't like the deshedding brush. But all I had to do was sort of rub my finger across it and the hair was sucked in. So it wasn't really a problem for me. All in all, I've used this product one time and am very impressed and don't have concerns with the quality of the product. I do recommend this to anyone considering cutting time deshedding their pet and making the process cleaner.

This brush works great on my short-haired Akita. I never knew a dog could shed so much and not be bald. But once my dog realized it wasn’t going to kill her, she relaxed and let me brush her. E have a cyclonic vacuum and my wife was amazed how much it was picking up. I would recommend buying this if you have a shedder.

I do not know how long the metal times will last, but does it work as advertised? Absolutely, it works wonderfully. I have a shepherd who as you know are nicknamed shedders and it was extremely efficient filling the vacuum bag very quickly. Excellent product well made, variable nozzles fit several vacuums.

I don't know why I haven't bought a product like this before. Great quality. I wasn't sure about this specific one, and I honestly chose it by reading the reviews and obviously for the price. I'm surprised how well this works. At first my two dogs were scared because of the sound of my vacuum, but now they like it because they always think it's "back rubbing" time. I'd say their shedding around the house reduced about 90% which it's huge. Definitely recom this product.

Should have done this years ago! My boy is a heavy shredder and hates getting brushed. This works really well. I'm using it with a Shark. No problem with suction. My dog prefers this to a regular brushing, I think he actually liked it, not sure why. Stayed put for it which he never does when brushing, and we could do it inside, which is good bc it's hot outside! It's pretty comfortable, however I think they could do a switch redesign, making so your thumb doesn't slip off the button. Seems well made.

I don’t usually leave comments ,even if I like a item but this I had too ,this is a life saver for all the dog owners that hate hair around their home , I have a 50lb standard Aussie doodle Wavy hair and this worked marvelous it got so much hair off of him I attached it to my Shop wet/dry vacuum hose instead of buying one of those 100 dollar vacuums that are specifically made for dog grooming definitely worth it.

Would be 5 stars but the wire bristles show longevity might prove an issue. But it's quite effective and the cats enjoy it.

Didnt fit on the vacuum tube. I was using them without the vacuum until I realized the furminator works WAY better and I just do it outside with a trash can.
