Did not work as expected. Issues after removal.
Box was easy to fit and at first I thought It worked well. However, I had same problem as other reviewers. I could not get the audio to work through the CarPlay box. Looked like everything was working just no sound. Then also encountered the dropping back to factory screen every 3 minutes. Unit removed and sent back for refund. Now here’s a big warning. I now have an issue with the factory sat nav not showing the original maps. It will sahib them to start then they disappear. Location and guidance works but no maps. I have goggled this and found a few forums where people have had the same issue all after removing a CarPlay box. It seems it causes an issue in the head unit so a new one is required. As I don’t use the in built satnav it’s no big issue but very annoying.

Great product, terrible instructions!
Fantastic piece of kit let down by dreadful instructions!Installation was pretty straightforward if you’re comfortable taking the dash apart on your Range Rover. Make sure you get the right dip switch configuration before putting everything back together. I learnt the hard way & had to re-install after switching all dip switches into the ‘off’ position. Also, make sure you have the ‘return to home screen’ option turned off on the factory touchscreen. Took me ages to figure out why CarPlay kept reverting back to the standard factory screen!Once up & running seems to work pretty flawlessly. All in all a great product, would’ve given 5 stars if it came with a decent set of instructions.

Great upgrade
This is a great upgrade for your Rangerover. If you are comfortable taking things apart (there are good YouTube guides), it’s fairly easy upgrade, if slightly fiddly. I did have trouble getting the screen centred. Dip switches I found that work are in my photo, It is critical that you shutdown power and leave alone for couple of hours after changing.Good bits; it’s a quick easy way to get CarPlay / Android auto and is very quick.Bad bit; you can’t have different audio sources at same time (dab and CarPlay navigation).Overall I’ve been very impressed with this as an upgrade.

Defective unit, worked well until it didn’t. Possible disaster
Had this item for one month, was a straight forward install however just outside of the return window we noticed a dash of smoke from behind the stereo where this was installed. I was able to quickly remove to find end terminals on unit burnt out. Very lucky it didn’t escalate into a fire. Appears that same item is available on aliexpress for way less and suspect it’s just a resell of same item. Could just be my experience with a defective one off item as no other reviews have same issue but I won’t risk buying again.

Range Rover Sport
I’m very impressed with this item, I had it professionally installed into my L494 Range Rover Sport and it replaces the Nav. It has really improved the feel of the tech in the car, the only slight downside that I can see is that you can’t listen to the factory radio and have sound from the Navigation apps as you need to be connected to Bluetooth. You can get round it with music streaming apps on your phone though. Just make sure you have enough data on your phone contract.

Didn’t work
Could not get any sound out of it even after messaging their own help desk, had to return as I couldn’t keep taking my dash to bits. Three times I stripped it to try different things/bit switches etc.
