Q: can this blower be reversed and used to vacuum leaves?

No. This is a blower only & does a great job.

Q: I get shocked sporadically when using, I read online that it’s normal because the dust makes static electricity,but does anyone else have this happen?

Bought mine about two months ago, use is 3-4 times a week to do a quick blow, couple of mins. A couple of days ago I used it for 10 mins and started feeling the shock, same thing today for a quick 30s blow. Not liking it, thinking about returning it, question does it happen with other brands also?
