Excellent product
Excellent product all my CCTV cameras are Yale. Really great peice if kit and cheap too. And easy to set up. Would have paid abit extra if it had the power plug too. As I'm not leaving batteries to corode in the cold months over winter. So I will be getting a mains plug. But otherwise. Really easy to set up. And loud decibal alarm. That should make the buggers run. Lol.

Loud !
Very loud , small and easy to program , I bought this as an extra security feature for my shed/garage . There had been some thefts here , ( mountain ebike taken), although we are on a private road ,it is also a NT footpath ,so whilst no getting vehicular traffic , there can be a steady stream of hikers/ ramblers . I liked the look and build , with the large pir sensor . Getting the battery back off was a bit of a faff as the screw head is miniature and it needed a screwdriver like the ones you get in a Christmas -cracker to fit it . The screw was also much longer than it needed to be to merely hold the back on , although I suppose that prevents quick de-activation ? Anyway , to program it is easy , four digit code enter , then a single number to activate device . The initial pressing of the number 1 produced nothing , as I believe others have noted , but i figured it after several thwarted attempts and it seems to have freed itself . Activating the alarm sent the dogs fleeing and nearly deafened me in the kitchen - much louder than I could have imagined and easily audible from the house , i am sure . To note , I only had batteries that were in a box in the cupboard , thus possibly old or from old lights or toys , so the red battery warning light came on after i had set the thing off a few times . I will buy new ones , although it's still in the garage ,working , so you get a good while to put new ones in . Very happy with it , I'm sure i'll set it off by forgetting it's there in the future , thus letting the neighbours know that I am indeed , alarmed !

Worth it
Why not get this for your shed or garage? This alarm is so simple and so cheap, it would be silly not to get one as an added security measure. I got this for my lock up as it is the simpleset way to add an alarm deterrant. The alarm systems that use a sensor stuck on the door/window, that once moved from the alarm system acitvate it, just wouldn't quite work on my garage door. This Yale alarm, lets me put it anywhere I wan't. The sound level is loud. At 100db it would be enough to wake you up or irritating enough to put someone off. You of course need to put this somewhere that would activate it early, which then means its position can also make it obvious. So positioning it well is probably the hardest part. Something I don't like about this alarm is that when it's activated it sends off a loud beep and flashes a red light once. This will happen if everytime you go in to your own shed/garage/lock up which is a nice reminder that you have an alarm to disarm but this feature also tells someone who's property it isn't, that there's an alarm and can also locate where it is from the red light beep. I have put tape over the light area. I also don't like that when I enter my code each button beeps loudly. I don't really want to tell everyone I feel the need to put an alarm in my garage. I still think this alarm is 5 stars, just because for under £20 it could be the deterrant that sends someone on there way. My solution to the alarm being easily found is to buy a second one and have 2 alarms get actived from very separate postiions, that way one is bound to be going off if they bother looking for the other. This still works out as cheap security. The operation is simple to use, to set a code, to arm it and to disarm it. You have 30 seconds from arming it to lock up and 10 seconds from activating it when entering to disarm it with your pin. Great, inexpensive alarm.

Great value
Brilliant for the price sensitive and really loud great deterrent. Batteries last for ages as well so don’t have to keep replacing. Perfect little cheap alarm as an extra security measure in the current climate

Good layer of security for the price
I have three of these. They are easy to install and my original one works well and gives some peace of mind. The other two haven't been as good as the keys have become sticky, I don't know why, maybe because they aren't used as much. You press a button, nothing seems to happen, so you press again and it then records two pushes and you lose track of how much of the code you have entered the alarm goes off. Sometimes you can re-enter the code and it is ok but they probably need replacing. Overall good for the price but the buttons can be temperamental

A LOUD Alarm
Excellent LOUD alarm for the shed (& it’d work in other places too obviously) I’ve just put mine in the shed as well I’ve got a lawnmower & all of your typical & extra gardening gear, plus loads of electric tools, there’s exterior paints & even a freezer full of food so I wanted a panic situation for any thieving intruder & the noise from theis alarm would firstly shock any intruder as it’s that loud & thieves don’t want attention & this is exactly what this pretty cheap little alarm does, it’d draw attention to our shed in the middle of the night, our shed would be the main focus of the surrounding area & any thief or thieves (they work in at least pairs these days) so thieves would be straight out of there empty handed so job done! A product that’s well worth the money & I’ve read how simple it is to set up on others reviews & it is simple, put in your own personal 4-digit code & it is really so simple to set up, really easy! I used top quality sticky pads to get mine up as there was no way I was getting my drill into the good old fashioned solid bricks there (pictured) but it’s up on the wall solidly. I’ve left a brief video of my old graffiti covered shed & I don’t know if my phone has a noise reduction feature but the alarm is a lot louder in reality than it is in the video, imagine you’ve just broken in & you’re routing about for a lawnmower or a bicycle to steal & that alarm goes off, after the initial shock you’d run that’d just be built in instinct to a thief.
