Spun DVD [2003]

Really not that good.
Bought it after stumbling across the zwan number of the beast cover, but tbh, that's the best thing about the whole film. It's clearly trying for a sort of US-style trainspotting but it just doesn't come across that well. It's got the gross-out griminess but without much humor, and it's hard to care much for any of the characters.

I'm spinning out
Superb wacky suburban meth head drama. Think Fear & Loathing crossed with The Simpsons. No poor acting here, the director squeezed out every drop of talent from this lot. Leguizamo never lets you down.

A slightly forgotten gem of a film
Nearly 15 years after its original release Spun seems to have been forgotten about now. Jason Schwartzman, Mena Suvari and Brittany Murphy are all great and theres loads of other wonderful supporting roles.Sure, its very much of its time but is well worth watching.Really needs a BluRay but I'm not holding my breath.

Pee-yew! This one stinks, folks.
Very bad film. Filmed in a way that’s designed to give you a headache, edited by somebody who saw Snatch, really liked it, then never watched another film ever again. Absolutely rotten, zero entertainment value

Two Stars
Well acted, dressed but chaotic and I could not find any empathy with the characters.
