5.1 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, 410W Surround Sound System Sound Bar for TV, Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer, Surround and Bass Adjustable Home Audio TV Speakers, APP Control, Poseidon D60

This is my second ULTIMEA product. I bought the 2:1 soundbar for my Xbox and I loved it. So for my home cinema I went for this gem. Knowing the brand was good. First, this is loud. The sub woofer packs an incredible punch and I have to turn it down so my man cave walls don’t fall down 🤭 Set up is easy. The sub woofer and surrounds wirelessly connect to the sound bar. So it’s worth knowing that your sub will have to be at the rear of your setup. It’s behind my cinema couch and the surrounds connect to that. The soundbar is amazing too. No need for centre and front surround speakers, it’s all built in and sounds great with amazing audio L/R and centre splitting. I’ve had a fully wired system with the additional speakers and cannot tell the difference. This then removes the footprint and just gives you a very compact set up. It has a variety of EQ settings and the treble, bass, mid and surrounds can all be controlled by the remote. If you want to set up power off, display time outs etc or set up a custom EQ, this can all be done via the free app which connects via Bluetooth. The number of input choices is great. I have mine on optical as my TV HDMI outputs are all in use so I am not using Arc. This then removes Atmos output which the bar supports but needs HDMI arc connections to do that. Frankly the pure 5.1 is so good I can live with that. You can connect any Bluetooth device to it and I’ve used it on my phone for Apple Music and of course it sounds great. It includes all the wall mounts for the bar AND the surrounds which is a great touch. I have my surrounds on stands and the bar on a cabinet, but the fact you have all the dedicated wall mounts is great customer service. Basically this kit has everything you need and for the price you absolutely cannot go wrong. If you want a very diverse 5.1 set up which sounds amazing and incredibly loud. Then this is your choice.

I bought these on a good deal. Unfortunately, Dolby Atmos did not work with ARC and only works with eARC. The end result was the speakers sounded worse than the built in speakers on my LG B8. However, the wireless pairing of the subwoofer to the soundbar was excellent. The two bookshelf speakers plugged into the subwoofer and then the subwoofer connected the 3 of them back to the soundbar wirelessly. The company was very responsive in trying to help resolve the issues I had. I have since moved the speaker set into my bedroom, which needed a sound upgrade. Happy to say it is performing much better here. I have the central speaker above my bed, and then one each of the book shelf speakers on each side of the bed on top of bedside cabinets. The amp I am attempting to keep inside of a drawer in the bed base, to feel the bass through the bed frame but this is experimental. The pairing process remains excellent. It means I can watch TV at night now with the sound turned down low because it is right next to me, rather than having the sound on the TV turned way up to compensate for the distance between the bed and the TV. I would say this set is brilliant as long as you keep your use cases reasonable.

I've been wanting to replace my old Panasonic surround for a while as it had a very noticeable delay when decoding Dolby Digital from the TV when showing HD content. This syncs nicely whether the source is linear PCM or Dolby Digital. The front sound bar is quite narrow so I was a bit sceptical about how much stereo separation there would be from the front, but I needn't have worried, it sounds just fine. The sub and the satellite speakers connected without problem. The bass is reasonably restrained, but that's how I like it. The overall sound was a bit harsh when I first switched it on, but it has different EQ settings and I found one that suited me. I tried to see how loud it would go, but only got half way up before deciding not to annoy the neighbours any further! I doubt it could compete with more expensive surround systems, but it's more than fine at this price point. Update: I have discovered that when being fed with a stereo source, over ARC, that has total silence for longer than a couple of seconds then the audio is muted and when the sound restarts it takes a moment for the sound to restart, which happens a lot when there is only speech which gets annoying quickly. In case it was my TV I connected to a different one and observed the same behaviour. I've contacted Ultimea support about this issue and they are being quite responsive, so hopefully this can be resolved.

I got this on the Amazon Black Friday 2023 sale for £175. The product was delivered the next day. The setup was quite easy and I connected all the speakers and placed them around my couch. I connected it to my TV using the supplied HDMI cable. This review is based on my usage for the past two days. I have a 2018 Samsung TV, with only ARC and not eARC. So I am limited only to Dolby Digital and not Atmos. Still the soundbar was recognized immediately by the TV and the display in the front of the soundbar showed "Dolby surround" I watched Avatar 2 in Disney+, animation movie in Netflix, Invincible 2 in Amazon Prime and many videos in Youtube. Following are my thoughts and feedback Pros 1. In pure Dolby input like Disney+, the sound output is fantastic. The sub is punchy and the surround is fantastic. My son kept turning back for all the sounds in Avatar from the rear surround speakers. 2. On action scenes, the Sub did a fantastic job. I pushed the volume to 20. Could not increase it further without disturbing my neighbors. The sound field and the surround was very well felt. My fav setting is Eq 1, Sub at bass 0 and Surround at +1 3. Even at low volumes like 10 or less, the surround effect was very good and the sub was doing its job. Even though there is no dedicated night mode, the same can be achieved with Bass -1 and volume less than 10. 4. I am yet to update the firmware provided by Ultimea to improve the Bass. I will update this review once I update the firmware 5. Songs played through Bluetooth is great. The audio is much better compared to some of the videos I saw. The surround sound (though it is simulated) gave an immersive satisfying experience. Again my max volume was only 20. Cons 1. In normal audio input like from Youtube, the bar tries to make it into a 5.1 but failed sometimes. I could hear few cracking sounds from the rear surround speakers only while watching Youtube videos. Not sure if there is a fix for this or it is because of my TV Overall, this is a great system for £175 that I paid. I have not tested Dolby Atmos through it yet. I will update this review once I do. Update after two weeks Installed the T019 firmware to tweak the bass. The system is fantastic. I enjoy watching movies and songs in this system. The firmware gave bass levels from -2 to +2. This helps a lot with night time watching where the sub is off but the surround is still on. Gives a great watching experience. Great job Ultimea

What a great system in a box this is! Even ignoring the price point, it's great! Strong 5.1 and Atmos effect, easy setup, great control and additional support for firmware upgrades too. Looks the part, not too overbearing, but sounds quality for the size. Pros: -movies sound unreal! -Easy setup -Quality design -Nice enough material choice -Sounds clear and precise -Actual 5.1 surround -Atmos is good -Loads included in the box, HDMI cable, optical cable, mounts ect. Lots more than others. -wireless connection worked flawlessly out the box -lots of support from ultimea Cons -Sub-bass isn't great, the subwoofer size is just too small to repoduce below 50Hz(ish) with conviction... But unless it's a 12" sub or bigger, anything else would be the same in my opinion -front stereo separation could be better, the soundbar itself just isn't quite wide enough to give that nice wide stereo separation you can get with the rears. Overall, comparing this against others systems in the same price bracket, even systems 3 times the price, nothing would come close. For a non-audiophile to discern a noticeable difference, you would have to spend at least 5 times as much to get a 'better' system, even then, there would still be a trade off somewhere with another 'system in a box' If you've looked at others, just buy this, you won't find anything else better for the money.

If you play music from your TV or phone connected by bluetooth,then this does a decent job.With the emphasis on bass,the sub can hit very high levels of bass if needed. However as a TV soundbar that needs the clarity of dialogue and clean sound effects more than massive explosive bass,then for me it was a dissapointment. I updated the firmware to a newer version that allowed the bass to be curtailed somewhat and this helped,but the underlying impresion for me is that the clarity in dialogue and overall soundscape in movies is just not quite good enough,no matter what Eq setting i used. There seems to be a reverb of voices coming from the sub,especially when a deeper voiced male speaks. The bar did pick up Atmos and Dolby surround when it was available,the led display displaying this just briefly and the rear speakers did their job. It switched off when the TV was switched off when using the Earc connection as it should,then came back on when the TV was on.Volume control through the TV remote worked ok.Even though the make Ultimea was not recognised by my Toshiba fire tv. Build quality is good and all the cables are included. A decent bar,but just didn`t suit my listening needs.

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I was looking for a new sound bar and didn’t realise that for only a little more money I could get myself a surround sound system. This system has completely changed my viewing experience! You tend to forget surround sound is on after a while, but if you set surround sound to -3 you are quickly reminded of what you’re getting at any time, but you don’t need to be reminded when there’s a plane flying overhead in a movie, explosions going off, or a song pumping some bass! After reading other reviews I downloaded an update to an empty USB to try and install an update, but this didn’t work for me, so I contacted customer service and quickly got an email back which was extremely helpful - they explained all the steps that needed to be taken, which was very straightforward, simply download which ever update suits your preference from their website (this can be uplifted bass for music, or updated sound levels to choose from 0-100 rather than 0-40). I chose update V139 from other recommendations and my mistake the first time was not leaving the update named as “update” I changed the name to Update1 - you must leave it named as just “update” for the speaker to instantly recognise it on the USB and download it, simply do this and make sure it’s the only file on a USB and it will update fine. You can simply leave it as is but going to the website and downloading update v139 gives you the most sound levelling options and the latest software. I have quite a big lounge but the left and right rear speakers have long enough cables to reach the back of the room with the sub placed in the centre of the lounge next to the sofa. The wireless sub connects to the soundbar out of the box, and has ample bass to improve any experience and the speaker alone isn’t exactly big, but this proves that size does not matter; as it clearly packs a lot of punch and you’ll never need to go anywhere near max volume, unless you want all the dogs on the street barking. If you’re thinking about buying, you won’t regret the purchase. The soundbar alone would likely improve your experience but the whole system together is fantastic. Their support is also wonderful, go to their website if you need any assistance or want custom settings provided through a downloadable update! What more could you want!! Maybe the fact it includes Dolby Atmos 👍

I have studio monitors in my PC & I do a lot of music production & let me make this very clear these speakers are awful - if you're watching a movie and want full immersion - the back speakers are decent but the main soundbar is inadequate. Its sound is way less powerful than the back speakers meaning you may get the immersion around you but, the dialogue or action in front of you is drowned out even in standard movie scenes... If you try to get the volume high enough to become satisfactory - the soundbar then becomes tinny. Which is never good - plus I have neighbours I can't put it on full blast just so I can hear things better. Another thing I'd like to note is that the sound cables provided are very poor quality & the power cable is faulty - immediately had sparks every time - tried plugging in my studio monitors to the same ports and their was no issue so yeah another thing to be aware of. I got some adapter cables for my studio monitors for my TV and immediately I felt the difference.. even without the cool immersion speakers in the back... It was so much better. If anyone is wondering I have two Yamaha hs5s very powerful and clear speakers. I forgot to mention too that the music quality on this speaker set is absolutely atrocious so if your looking for any type of use in this you are doomed. My best advice would be to make a gradual investment into your TV sound experience. I get these are budget friendly but they really do suck. If you don't wanna spend much or have them already... Plug in two decent speakers - set them up as a 2.1 - if your TV doesn't have the ports they're really cheap adapters online (rather than needing an amp or a bluray player). I really am having a much better time with my 2.1 compared to this cheap crap '5.1'.... it's much better than just having a soundbar/subwoofer too because their is two independent speakers of much higher quality and sound capability and they have their own woofers. (It could also be more budget friendly) If you do truly want a 5.1/7.1 setup buy your gear over time. If you look online at these setups what your going to see is a centre speaker, two front corner speakers, two back corner speakers, subwoofer & two extra back speakers (for 7.1) My advice for this kind of setup is to start of with one STRONG centre speaker as that's your main focus when it comes to your sound - you can also plug this into your TV without needing an amp or bluray player. I would even suggest a solo studio monitor as they are very clear, very powerful and have an adjustable sound dial so you'll never be drowned out by the surround sound, plus they have a woofer which'll give you more time to budget a subwoofer. Now when your getting the rest of your supply your gonna need a bluray player or an amp first. A good amp cost a lot more than a good bluray player but if you don't use physical media it's useless - plus with a good amp you can have it connected to your TV, phone, pc ,console ,laptop etc. but if you just want it for the TV you can get an amp cheaper than a bluray player so win win really. Once you have that covered your gonna want surround speakers - they're decent pricing, they are easy to place and tuck away - You'll need four so don't get nothing crazy priced... One for each corner of the room... Then you have a 5.0, all that's left is a subwoofer to create your 5.1... you could also get standing or bookshelf speakers instead, depends really on your room layout, what's your budget (may be cheaper, may cost more) It becomes tricky with a 7.1 though as you now have to get two speakers at your back meaning your sofa needs to be in the centre-ish of your room... You may not even feel the need to upgrade to this but if it's a must you need a good sized room for starters. Then you can decide on what speakers to get - I'm not too sure on what'd be the best option, that kinda depends on your room layout because it's not really good having them high up as you want back sound not surround sound... But yeah there's my opinion and my guidance for you.. returning these today - gotta wait up to 14 days for a refund 💀

If you’re someone who uses the TV speaker or even a 2.1 soundbar, Poseidon D60 will actually make a lot of difference. I have a small apartment and I’ve placed Sub and two rear speakers at the back and soundbar near TV and it sounds amazing. The app works so well it’s got a decent set of features. Just when setting it up, use the same distances for the rear speakers. Subwoofer is pretty decent as well. The soundbar connects wirelessly to the subwoofer and it’s perfectly in sync all the time. Totally worth the money!

It would be criminal to rate this lower than 5 stars based on the value for money alone. But there are some cons, listed last. Pros first, though. It gets loud enough to fill a large lounge. The length of the satellites' cables make it so that it can fit a large lounge too. I have noticed no distortion and have used it at up-to 80% volume. The sound is very clear, with good separation and good balancing overall. It's a bit more neutral whereas more theatrical systems will be a tab more bass heavy, but I like that as I am in an apartment building. It's got great functionality - the presets work well and I can use my phone to apply a custom preset. Bluetooth mode is handy for listening to music. eArc is mostly seamless, with only a slightly delay when starting a video. It was very easy to set up, including connecting the sub to the soundbar. The biggest win for me is the actual Dolby Atmos. Not virtual, actual Dolby Atmos support, meaning audio is relayed across separate channels, each with its own assigned speaker. The virtual surround sound (used with non-atmos content) does a good job when used above 60% volume. A few negatives: While it can definitely fill a large room with sound, the separation of the front 3 channels is not great due to the small size of the actual bar. The speakers are a bit cramped in it and you can tell unless you're dead centre facing the bar within 3 meters. Under 60% volume, the virtual surround sound is not great. It struggles to identify bass and as a result, you end up with some rattle that sounds like an intermittent bass signal. It's really bad under 40%, so much so that I didable the bass when listening at low volumes.
