Works for me!
I have a toy poodle that is type 1 diabetic and we have to keep a close record of his blood sugar and I normally use Alpha Track 2 but when I run out I have used Fastacare and in my readings of the two, well I got lucky and the readings were close to those on Alpha Track. I have tried them all and saw this one where it had been at a vet equipment show or something like that by the manufacturer of the glucometer. It was used in other countries and I figured it must be ok. Yes, it does require more blood to bead up than the Alpha Track but you have to learn to check it, use it and get used to it. I use the dog's ear and inside the ear,not where the hair is, I shave the hair nearly off the inside ear and look for the outter, upper edge to find a vein, and that way you get more blood. You can rub the area and rub till warm and I got no problem getting enough blood but I did at first as I was not used to needing more blood. I do not know about how it would be on cats only on my little poodle. Price of the strips is cheap compared to the higher end Alpha Track 2 . And I got no problems using it if I run out of the Alpha Track. I ran out strips just last week and had these on hand and used them. I always keep a written record of my dog's blood sugar at feeding, giving insulin and have since the vet told us he would not live through the night when we first found he was diabetic with pancreatitis and sepsis. We started making his own food as organic as we can get , and read all the Holist vets books and our little boy is still alive 683 days later . It is not easy but then it is not easy for a human diabetic either keeping blood sugar down.

Frequent Error Codes!!! To many pokes😡
My pug was diagnosed with diabetes so I ordered this Glucometer to save from frequent vet visits and added stress to my dog... the meter needs way to much blood and always gives an error code so I have been having to stick his poor ear 2-4 times to get enough blood. I have had the meter for a week and have went through all of the strips!!!! I am sending this one back and just ordered the Alpha Track 2.

Dont waste your money
The lancet device barely breaks the skin. The strips require too much blood to get from the cat with the lancets. The vet had to use a syringe to get enough blood.

When will this product be available?
Not a bad monitor for the price but not as accurate as it could be and I wish the testing strips and lancets were available to buy again cause I desperately need them.

When are you getting more glucose test strips
I didn't like that I had to order a new glucose test meter in order to have enough test strips... I have already sent an e=mai enquiring when your going to get more supplies in.. My dogs life depends on theses strips.. I use 2 to 5 strips a day so 23 pcs does't last long.. Please please let me now when you will be getting more I will not purchase another tester I'll just use a human meter and buy the strips at the local pharmacy...Thanks Sandy and Kramer.my fur baby

Personally I wouldn’t recommend
Unfortunately this product did not work. Issues with the strips and the machine staying on. Hard to adjust the codes

... strips and lancelets in the same package makes it easy to reorder
Test strips and lancelets in the same package makes it easy to reorder,- only have to order one item instead of other brands that sell these items separately

cost per strip advantage
Struggle getting the blood on the right spot but I can figure that out at the cost per strip
