Perfect for keys and bags
I’ve been using this tag on my keys and in my own bag, and it works really well. The tracking is accurate, and it picks up instantly when it’s near my phone. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing I can find my stuff quickly. I also tried attaching one to my child’s school backpack. Since almost no one at the school seems to use Android phones, the real-time tracking isn’t very reliable there. It doesn’t update often when the tag is only around non-Android devices. But when the tag is anywhere near my phone, the detection is super quick and precise. For personal items I carry around myself, it’s excellent. Overall, great for nearby tracking and daily essentials, but real-time location updates depend heavily on how many Android devices are around.

Never Lose Anything Again: Why the Galaxy SmartTag 2 is Essential
The Galaxy SmartTag 2 is more than just a small piece of tech—it's a massive upgrade in peace of mind, especially for anyone who travels or juggles multiple items daily. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this second generation, making the tracking experience smoother and more reliable than ever. The ease of use is the first thing that impressed me. Getting the SmartTag 2 set up took mere seconds; it connects instantly to the SmartThings app, and the entire interface is incredibly intuitive. Attaching it to a backpack, a camera case, or even slipping it into a passport wallet is simple thanks to the improved loop design. Once attached, tracking is as simple as opening your phone and seeing the precise location. As a frequent traveler, this device has become indispensable. Whether I'm waiting for luggage at the carousel, worried about my carry-on during a tight connection, or just making sure my rental car keys didn't slip out of my pocket, the ability to keep track of all my items in real-time is invaluable. The combination of its impressive battery life and the vast Galaxy network means I always feel connected to my most important possessions, no matter where I am in the world. If you’re looking for the simplest, most effective way to eliminate lost item anxiety—whether at home or on the road—the Galaxy SmartTag 2 is an absolute must-buy. It’s reliable, robust, and ridiculously easy to use.

EXCELLENT
EXCELLENT GPS TRACKER This is designed exclusively for Samsung Galaxy phones/tablets so be sure you have one of those first. I tried several GPS trackers and all of those were just cheaply made Chinese junk, but this tracker is well built and is by far the best. This was so easy to set up and it truly works well. This tracker does NOT require a subscription like many others do. If you are looking for a very good tracker that is accurate, reasonably priced, free to use and is so easy to setup, then this is the one to buy. There is no other tracker except maybe the Apple tracker that even comes close. Again, make sure you have a Samsung Galaxy device before buying, but if you do, I promise you will not be disappointed! Truly remarkable product!

Worked flawlessly, easy to sync and set up!
I bought these so I could keep track of my bike during a trip to Hawaii. I was worried my bike would get lost but these worked flawlessly. Easily synced to my phone and showed me where my bike was during each leg of my trip. I also pinned one inside my bento bag on my bike in the event someone removed it from the box, and one inside both my son's carry on and mine. I definitely recommend these for peace of mind when traveling via plane.

Nice Product
Works great minus the fact that there is no instruction on how to replace the battery when low. Had to go to YouTube to learn how to replace the battery

Must-Have Tracker – Reliable, Easy to Use, and Perfect for Everyday Items
Tracking tags have become essential for me, especially as I’ve gotten older and tend to forget where I place things. I originally started using them for luggage during travel, but I’ve since expanded their use to other everyday items—like my insulated water bottle, which I frequently misplace while working outdoors. Attaching a tracker to the bottle’s carry handle has been a game changer. Now, with just a tap on my phone, I can trigger the sound and locate it instantly. Another major plus is the widespread use of Samsung phones, which ensures strong coverage for locating the tag, no matter where I am. The build quality is excellent—sturdy and reliable. My only minor complaint is that I wish the batteries lasted a bit longer, but replacing them is quick and easy with affordable options on Amazon. Overall, this is a must-have tool for keeping track of important items in my daily life.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 – A Comprehensive Technical Review
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 is the latest iteration of Samsung’s Bluetooth tracker, designed to help users locate lost items with improved accuracy, extended battery life, and an upgraded build. I’ll analyze its performance, features, and overall value to see if it’s a worthy upgrade over its predecessor. Design & Build Quality The SmartTag 2 introduces a significant design change compared to the original SmartTag and SmartTag+. It features a sleek, pill-shaped body with a large cutout, making it easier to attach to keychains, bags, and pet collars without needing an extra accessory. The IP67 dust and water resistance rating ensures durability, making it more robust for outdoor use. The build feels premium yet lightweight, and the increased size of the cutout is a welcome improvement over the original design, reducing the risk of breakage when attaching to keyrings. Tracking Performance & SmartThings Integration Ultra-Wideband (UWB) & Bluetooth LE The SmartTag 2 comes in a Bluetooth-only variant and a UWB-enabled version. The UWB version enhances "Precision Finding," providing an augmented reality (AR) experience to guide users toward their lost item within close range. Bluetooth now has an extended range, allowing tracking from a greater distance, which is crucial for outdoor environments. SmartThings Find & Network Integration Samsung leverages its SmartThings Find network, utilizing millions of Galaxy devices to anonymously detect and report the location of lost SmartTags. This crowd-sourced system functions similarly to Apple’s Find My network, improving recovery chances even when the tag is out of Bluetooth range. The Lost Mode feature now lets users input contact details, allowing anyone who finds the SmartTag to scan it and retrieve owner information—similar to Apple AirTags. Battery Life & Power Efficiency Samsung has improved the battery life dramatically. The SmartTag 2 can last up to 500 days on a single CR2032 coin cell battery in standard mode, which is double the lifespan of the original SmartTag. Enabling Power Saving Mode extends it further to around 700 days, making it one of the longest-lasting Bluetooth trackers on the market. Replacing the battery remains simple, requiring a small tool to open the back panel. Additional Features Sound Alerts & Volume: The built-in speaker is louder than its predecessor, helping users locate their tag more easily. Modes for Different Scenarios: The device supports different operation modes, such as Normal Mode for real-time tracking and Power Saving Mode for extended battery life. Galaxy-Exclusive Features: Unlike Apple AirTags, which are exclusive to Apple’s ecosystem, the SmartTag 2 is limited to Samsung Galaxy devices. It does not support other Android phones, restricting its potential user base. Comparison to Competitors Pros & Cons Pros ✅ Improved design with a larger keyring hole ✅ Extended battery life (500-700 days) ✅ Loud, effective speaker for sound alerts ✅ UWB for Precision Finding (UWB model) ✅ Lost Mode for contact sharing ✅ IP67 dust and water resistance Cons ❌ Samsung-exclusive – won’t work with non-Galaxy Android devices ❌ UWB model costs more than Bluetooth-only version ❌ No global tracking without SmartThings Find network support in some regions Pro Tip: Save Money with the 4-Pack If you plan on using multiple SmartTags, buy the 4-pack instead of purchasing them individually. A single SmartTag 2 costs around $20, but the 4-pack is currently priced at $56, saving you about $24 compared to buying them separately. This is a great way to save money while ensuring all your important items—keys, bags, wallets, and even pet collars—are trackable! Final Verdict: Should You Buy It? The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 is a powerful and well-designed tracker, offering a significant upgrade in battery life, durability, and tracking precision compared to its predecessor. It’s an excellent choice for Samsung Galaxy users who want seamless SmartThings integration, but its lack of cross-platform support makes it less appealing for non-Samsung users. If you're within the Samsung ecosystem, this is the best tracking device available.

Good investment
At first not sure if it was a glitch but one of the four was not working, so I had to remove the battery for a few minutes reinstall it and then it was working okay
