GYI 160 Reclining Office Chair with Footrest, Big & Tall Desk Chair, Brown

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but after 2 back-to-back wins on Amazon, I felt this chair deserved a mention. It’s a significant step up from the standard office fare, both in terms of aesthetics and actual comfort. What Stands Out: Manufacturer’s Attention to Detail: I was pleasantly surprised by the care put into the packaging and design. There are protective pads between parts to prevent damage during shipping, which is a rare find. Even better, there is a dedicated cover on the back that hides the metal hardware, giving it a much cleaner, more high-end look. Comfort & Recline: The seat is exceptionally soft—definitely comfortable for long sessions. The reclining feature is smooth and makes it easy to shift from "focus mode" to a more relaxed position. Build Quality: The stitching is clean, and the material feels durable. It doesn't have that "cheap plastic" feel you often find at this price point. One Area for Improvement: Footrest Installation: While the rest of the assembly was straightforward, the footrest was a bit of a struggle to install. The manufacturer might want to look into a redesign for that specific component to make the process more user-friendly. Overall, it’s a great purchase for this price point. If you’re looking for something that looks professional and actually feels good to sit in, this is a solid choice.

This is a great chair. There’s nothing better than getting a good quality product with good assembly instructions. Took 15 minutes. These pics show it - they made everything clear and give you a better quality tool than most. It’s very comfortable with the springs, supportive and the reclining feature locks so you’re not wobbling. It’s also very stable and durable. Great wfh chair for me for being at a desk several hours and needing to put my feet up.

I’ve gone through quite a few office chairs over the years, and this one has quickly become my favorite. The seat is extra wide and well-padded, which makes a huge difference if you spend long hours working at your desk. I never feel cramped or sore, and the high back gives me really solid support. Even after sitting all day, my back and shoulders feel much better compared to my old chair. The reclining feature is probably my favorite part. It leans back a full 160° and with the footrest pulled out, it almost feels like a recliner. I’ve actually taken short naps in it during lunch breaks, and it’s surprisingly comfortable. The armrests are at a good height too, so whether I’m typing, reading, or just relaxing, I always feel supported. The chair also looks great. The brown finish has a clean, classic look that fits perfectly in my home office. It doesn’t feel cheap at all—quite the opposite, it looks like a premium piece of furniture. The wheels glide smoothly on my floor without scratching, and the overall build feels sturdy enough to last for years. For the price, I’d say this chair is an excellent value. You’re basically getting both an office chair and a lounge chair in one. If you’re tall, big, or just someone who wants real comfort while working, this chair is worth it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their setup.

Absolutely love this chair! It was not difficult to assemble is comfortable and I am love with the width of the seat as I can sit criss cross. When reclining all the way back i felt a little tipsy but once I pulled the foot rest out(even though I want using it) that feeling went away. The only down fall I have had is the levers to recline or raise/lower the chair are so far underneath the seat that I struggle to reach them. ... but even with that one thing I would buy another one in a heartbeat the price was great

Easy to put together for 2 people and a power screwdriver. Perfect when you have a puppy that loves to sit in your lap. Plenty of room for both of us, which is why we bought this chair. Nice gray. Soft and leathery, yet sturdy. Well made.

It’s an OK chair. I bought 2 in October 2024 because I loved the aesthetic and the reviews were good. As of March 2035, the arm frame bent over such that I fall out of my chair if I’m not careful now, and my husband has always hated his and said it hurt his butt and wasn’t soft enough. I thought it was fine, but I think the frame should last longer than a year. Still, not as bad as another chair I bought on Amazon, so it’s got a 3.

Really happy with this chair. The color matches my wood flooring perfectly and adds a warm, stylish look to the room. Assembly was very simple and didn’t take long at all. The chair feels very comfortable with plenty of space to sit cross-legged, and the cushioning is soft and supportive. Great for working or relaxing for long periods. Excellent purchase overall.

Really wanted to love this chair. It looks fine. Took two hours for two people to put together. Seems sturdy. Back is a little crooked, but thats not a big deal. It's the seat. It is not deep enough for even a medium sized man to feel comfortable. And the seat seems to tilt forward, so you feel like you're sliding out of it all the time. I took too long to put it together, so I can't return it. Bummer.
