Twister Wheels - purple/white

I skate every week on quad speed skates at a local rink. The floor had some damage over the winter and the owner has not yet resurfaced the floor with an appropriate material that helps wheels grip when you speed around corners. I have been skating on 100a Dubz derby wheels for years, but on the slippery floor, I was sliding on corners so badly I felt like my feet were going to go out from under me. (I am an experienced skater - skating for 40+years). So, I needed wheels with more grip until the floor is resurfaced. These did the trick! They grip tightly even at top speeds and feel very secure. I will say going from 100a to 94a has required me to push a lot harder, but I consider it a good workout! I got the purple and white swirl color and love them with my white Riedell boots. They were packaged carefully and arrived quickly; reasonably priced. Installed same day and on the rink that evening!

Soooo, these have almost too good of a grip. I'm a newbie skater and I've noticed the major difference switching from my Sure Grip Motion 62mm to these. It's all grip and no slip. I'm slowing down halfway through my turns and it's a little bit more challenging to get my feet to slide/glide like I want them to. This is by no means a negative thing, it just creates a little bit more work for me than I had before. I do feel a bit more stable with these wheels likely due to the width and the grip. It's only been a few weeks, so I will keep at it and I may post an update later.

This is my second pair of these wheels, my skates came with black and white. They work and look great on the rink!

I bought these for my niece's Christmas present. I've owned Twister wheels previously and I wanted her to have a set of wheels that can grow with her. They grip quite well, especially once they've been warmed up with a few laps around the rink. The colors are great too, as they're very vibrant and eye-catching. These wheels hold up better than some others that are a bit less expensive, like Cosmics or Mantas.
