I've got my 50th high school reunion coming up, and I needed a dressy black bag to match my outfit. This bag fits the bill. It's chic, and I like that you can tuck the chain inside and use it as a clutch, if you want to. I like that it's bigger than usual clutches or cross-body bags, because I like to carry stuff... my phone, a makeup touch-up, a small brush, nail glue (just in case), etc. I ordered the plain black one, and I didn't have some of the issues that other reviewers have had. My zipper glides very smoothly, with no signs of skipping teeth or jamming. The overall quality is great. Some of the tissue paper packing got stuck to the seams inside the bag, I assume due to the glue still being wet when it was packed. Rubbing a damp paper towel all along the seams got rid of it easily. Since I haven't used it yet, I don't know if the color will come off the chain and onto my clothes. But I'm wearing all black, so at least it won't be noticeable on the Big Night. Also, I'm not crazy about the length when I try to wear it as a cross-body bag. It looks awkwardly short and uncomfortable, that way. I'm planning to stick with keeping it on my shoulder (long or short), unless I'm dancing. There is ONE issue that made me dock a star, because it brought down an otherwise perfect bag. The chain is rather cheap and leaves a lot to be desired. It constantly gets kinked up (tangles itself), and it's very slippery. Just modeling the bag in the mirror, in both long and short strap scenarios, made me realize that it would never stay up on my shoulder no matter what I wore. It is just too slippery. I thought about buying a leather clip-on strap and replacing the chain with that, but I realized that doing that would make the bag lose some of its charming designer look. So instead, I ordered a roll of 1/2" leather strap here on Amazon. I cut the whole roll lengthwise, not quite down the middle. Doing so left me with two straps, one of them slightly bigger than the other. I took the big one and wove it in and out of the chain. It took me about 90 minutes to do the whole thing, and then I glued the final ends together with E6000 (clamped overnight). The result is a beautiful strap that looks high-end, stays on my shoulder, and doesn't get itself twisted up into kinks anymore. I highly recommend doing that, if you don't like the chain either. I'm putting pics up to show you how it came out. All in all, for 27 bucks plus another 15 for the leather strapping, I have myself a nice bag for special occasions, provided that it doesn't fall apart soon like others have reported.

Had it for a while so far holds up really good, even when I pack an excessive amount of stuff in there. I get alot of complements. Personally love it. The material is heavy duty. The chain might hurt shoulder your slightly more than an average strap.

The quality of the leather and the purse overall for the price is perfect. The room inside is organized and a good amount of room. The strap is also the perfect length. My purse was just delivered. I love everything about it. I was looking for a nice burnt orange solid purse couldn't find anything I liked so I basically gave up. I found this one and liked it because of the size so I purchased the brown. Much to my surprise, it's more of a burnt orange/rust colour which I'm completely over the moon about. I might buy another for a Xmas gift for my daughter in law who loves mermaids, the buckle contains two of them. Very nice purse, solid, good material and looks very classy. Will be great for all occasions.

Love this bag, purchased it last spring and it's still a staple in my wardrobe. Great quality its just big enough to carry the essentials but not to big. It's Classy and overall I'm happy I purchased this. I would buy it again in other colors 5 star for me
