Much smaller than expected and there is no place to hang

I sent this as a special remembrance gift to my sister. She called to tell me how beautiful it is, but said it was broken when she opened the box; said was broken in a spot where she could glue it back together in a place that wouldn’t be too obvious. Don’t know where the fault lies, whether it was a packing or shipping issue. She repeatedly said how much she loves it, but I was very disappointed. The item itself was a 5-star rating.
