Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' by Aquarium Plants Galore makes a great midground plant, or a foreground plant in larger tanks. If left to grow, it can easily reach over 8 inches in height. It works best if you keep it trimmed under 4 or 5 inches in height. This will encourage dense, compact growth. Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' does best in aquariums with the addition of carbon dioxide and high light levels. The second photo shows a representative sample you will receive: approximately 6 stems each about 3 inches in length. The third photo shows the intense red color it will get when grown in an aquarium. Very nice looking, almost red plants
Some "mini" A. reineckii turn out to be full size plants, but these do seem to be staying below about 6 inches in height. And, they are very nicely colored, even in my medium light tank. They are all growing nicely, with no attention needed.
