For those who might be alarmed that this milk-circuit cleaner is gel, or has congealed, or isn't powder — don't worry! it works fine!Simply use scissors to cut the sachet open on three sides and, with the tap set to a gentle flow of water, flush the open sachet under the tap so the cleaning agent is washed into the carafe; check the carafe is filled to maximum capacity, and then carry out the cleaning operation.

From my experience with a Phillips Saeco Xelsis, which I learned from the owners manual and web site video demonstrations, , there is a process of filling up the milk container with 500 mg of water and mixing the Circuit Cleaner Power in it, and run the milk cleaning cycle; which then requires rinsing with 500 mg of clean water. I do this every 4 weeks.
