SOFA SAVER!!!!
Ok so let me just start by saying this was a sofa saver and that’s not an overreaction. The back story is that we got two new pups and they were about six months old. The pups had been behaving very well and we decided to start leaving them down stairs while we were out. This went well for a few days until the carnage happened.Behind our recliners is a long leather flap that hangs behind the sofa. The pups decided we no longer needed it and tried to remove for us. The disappointment was real, and we thought it was going be expensive to get it fixed. I really didn’t expect to find a patch to repair my sofa big enough, but glad I found this.Once we received the leather repair patch it was pretty easy to apply. If you are able to use a sticker this is the same concept. Peel and paste easy as that. What really impressed me is that the colour was on point and matched my sofa perfectly. If you have a damaged leather sofa or chairs these patches are an excellent way to bring them back to life. I am really happy with this product and it’s been a sofa saver for us and would recommend this product hands down.

Five Stars - lowered to 1 Star
Originally very pleased but anyone thinking of purchasing should read the warnings listed on the product. They state that they are not responsible for any damage done by removing the patch. I can't remember the exact wording but it is similar to that. I'm not surprised. If you put the patch on a chair that you plan to sit on it is quite likely that the patch will move... and I mean move quite considerably. When it does that you have no choice but to remove it. When I did that I found the chair underneath was then in a total mess. The glue seems to have a terrible impact on what it is stuck to. So, I smallish hole which I thought was well repaired was not like that when I had to remove the patch. The entire chair was ruined. The orginal hole was about 2" long. When I removed the patch the hole had become almost the size of the patch. This seems to be because the patch moved but also because the glue seemed to almost desolve the leather beneath it. When you try to remove the patch it also very hard to remove the glue that is left. The obvious question is why does that patch move? I think that is simply because of the heat generated when you sit on it. That seems to heat the glue and make it slide. In my case the slide was about 6" and it just takes the leather underneath with it.The difficulty is that there appears to be very few other options available but I really cannot recommend this anymore. You need to be very certain that it is in a place where it cannot/will not move. In most cases I can't think where that would be. It may be okay if you apply some stronger glue first but I can't be sure. What I don't get is why they use a glue that allows the patch to move under heat. If you sit on something it is bound to heat up to your body temperature so surely it was tested at that?

Very Good!
My chair cost nearly £200 from Staples, and after a couple of years .... the leather headrest started to flake/tear - it appears to be bonded leather. I tried another product (a paint-like liquid), which was a complete waste of time. I then came across the MastaPlasta, and gave it a go!I took my time, and followed the instructions carefully. I made sure the leather patch was correctly lined up, and then CAREFULLY applied the patch - the adhesive is very strong, so you may not get another shot at applying it!The end result is fantastic: the patch looks correct, and it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. It appears to be very durable. I recommend this for leather seat/chair repairs.

Sticks well, looks great... except at the edges
We used these large patches to repair a plasticky sort of leather effect sofa when renting, which had just disintegrated and peeled on the seats. They feel great, stick on well, and look remarkably tidy... except the sofa was black, and the edges are a little fuzzy and quite white, as the backing and middle is not coloured. This is made worse if you cut the patch yourself into the required shape, so unfortunately they did show up a little and the edges weren't so tidy. The glue is also strong enough to gum up your scissors, so no matter how sharp they are, this ends up being a little messy.Overall, would use again, but might get something to colour the edges and buy something better for cutting.

Easy to Fit. Sticks Firmly. Looks Good.
I bought this for a computer chair where the vinyl (or "leather-like") covering was delaminating from the fabric underneath - due to overuse over 2-3 years. It went on in a flash (warning, the glue is powerful, so get it right first time) and completely covered the problem area. It is flexible and moves like the original vinyl, so I think it will stay there long-term. It seems hard-wearing. You can't pretend it's not there, but the finish is neat. So far, very pleased and just as pleased that I could get a solution like this without having to buy a new chair.

perfect, easy to use.
this is the second one i have bought. The 1st was for a small one to cover wear , the 2nd was a xl to cover large patch, the colour match was perfect and can hardly notice it at all. would defiantly buy again.

Workmanlike material but different and inferior to the smaller-sized version
Bought this larger size after having successfully used two of the smaller sized (though overpriced) version. This was almost the same price as the smaller version which was half the size (due to an Amazon prime Day offer).Workable, but the bigger-sized patch is not exactly the same design, nor as effective, nor of the same high quality as the smaller size.Crucially, (as can be seen in the picture) the edges of the larger-size (bottom part of photo) are designed differently. The edges of the smaller size (top part of photo) have greater tightness and adhesion than the edges of the larger size (bottom part of photo). If you are using the larger patch on a very flat part of the sofa well away from edges so that when people sit there is less pressure or bend, then you should be okay. If the damage is near a corner or pressured-section of the sofa, exercise caution.
