ZonLi Japanese Floor Mattress Futon Mattress Twin Size 2.5 Inch Thick

I’m overall very satisfied with this mattress. I purchased the 6-inch version, and one thing I definitely want other buyers to know is to give it the full 72 hours to expand. There were a few sections of mine that honestly had me worried because they barely moved for almost two days while the rest of the mattress was expanding. Eventually, those areas started rising too. I did use an electronic ball massager over some of the stubborn areas to help knead them, and by around the 72-hour mark everything had filled out nicely.There was also a noticeable factory/memory-foam smell when I first opened it, but that improved as it aired out and after I washed the cover.As far as sleeping on it, I love it. I’m not completely new to sleeping close to the floor because I camp and have slept on very thin padding before, so I already knew I liked a firmer sleeping surface. If you’re coming from a very soft traditional mattress, I would expect that you might feel a little sore at first while getting used to the firmer feel.Personally, though, I’ve been sleeping GREAT. My back feels great, my muscles and body feel great when I wake up, and I feel supported whether I’m on my back or my side. Compared with other floor mattresses I’ve tried, this one feels much more substantial and supportive.I’m also really glad I chose the 6-inch version. I’m curvier through my hips/butt, so I wanted enough thickness and give that I wouldn’t feel like I was bottoming out against the floor. Six inches has been perfect for me—it still gives me that firm, grounded floor-bed feeling while providing enough cushioning where I need it.My biggest recommendation would be to pair it with a good pillow that matches your sleeping position. Once I got the mattress and pillow combination right, the whole setup became extremely comfortable.Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and would absolutely recommend it. Just don’t panic if some sections look stuck during the first couple of days—mine really did need almost the entire 72 hours!

Love this floor mattress for cosleeping with 9 month old! I needed a firm flat surface to sleep that was low to the ground and easy transport. This was such a delight to look forward to every day. We spent so much time on this thing as a play mat, comfy spot to stretch out, and of course a bed. Easy to roll up and secure with two buckle straps it came with. It fit lengthwise in a Chevy equinox with one seat folded down. I’m sure I could have gotten it in smaller vehicles too but probably would have had to curve the ends up.

Love it !!! It took the crease in the center to flatten out a little longer than 72 hours. I absolutely love the cover that goes with it very soft and thick. I bought this for the purpose of Thai massage and I feel like I will still have the ability to perform my moves and not feel like I'm balancing on clouds but my clients are still able to lay on something comfortable instead of a hard floor.

This Zonli futon is an affordable and comfortable futon that I’m using now with my husband and with my child - especially because we needed multiple for our household. Recently, we decided to try and transition to floor sleeping as we prefer hard mattresses. This Zonli mattress has been a great one to start with!One thing to note: It doesn’t feel or look like 4 inches thick as described- more like 2 inches but still worked for us when we put it on top of a carpet or Zonli tatami mat. It’s a little awkward to fold into thirds at first but it’s not too bad once you get a hang of it. We’ve been doing so everyday for the last few weeks and there is no noticeable line or shifting/movement of the inner layer.When you take off the cover (the grey outer cover with a cushioned top) it’s really just a huge sponge sheet inside. Regardless, as a back sleeper and someone that prefers hard mattresses, it works.Zonli doesn’t ship directly to my location so even though the options aren’t all the same as the actual Zonli website, I was happy to be able to purchase it. I hope there will be more options offered soon so I can purchase other ones if I feel I need a change.

Bought this for meditation and relaxing purposes. Also figure it would be useful if we had extra overnight guests. Comes with a bag for travel and storage. What do I love about this mattress?The color for one- as shown in photo, just so calming and fits in with most decor. Then the comfort as it is super relaxing to lie down and listen to music. If it gets really hot at night, I intend to move this mattress out on my deck and sleep outside. Added bonus there was no smell as you may find in things shipped and vacuum packed. It took about a day to expand fully as mentioned in the instructions. Would buy again for sure.

When I received the mattress it was wrapped in an extra several layers of plastic wrap and packing tape... never a good sign on a "New" item. After several minutes of careful cutting, I didn't cut into the mattress and finally I got to the vacuum sealed package. The full size mattress was folded in half, vacuum sealed and then rolled up. I cut the vacuum seal, pulled out and unfolded the mattress and there was a crease of clumped mattress that ran along the center of the mattress from top to bottom. After reading some reviews and watching some "unpacking" videos I started to get more suspicious of the extra plastic wrapped around my mattress as none of the videos of customers unpacking their mattress had the extra plastic and tape. I gave the mattress several hours to return to its natural shape and the crease remained, but it had lessened some. "Massaging" the mattress was suggested to help it recover its full form so I did that over the course of time it was expanding; walking on it, laying on it and sleeping on it were also some recommendations. I decided to lay some blankets over the crease and sleep on the mattress to give it more time and hopefully my body weight would redistribute some of the creased material, and it did... most of the crease went away but I noticed one of the corners had flipped up and the more I redistributed the material the more the corner flipped and the entire cover is off so that some of the design is on the underside. Think of putting a pillow in a pillow case that's slightly too small... Upon further inspection it seems as if the mattress was slightly larger than the cover and it was forced in, folded and vacuum sealed... BUT there is another issue! As I was exploring the mattress today and trying to redistribute the material I noticed that the mattress had darkened stained coloring down where the feet would be - I'm short and this stain was obviously one that was worn in and cleaned. SO I got a mattress too big for the covering causing it to be clumpy and it was previously used!My sleeping experience... There is no doubt that the mattress is incredibly comfortable and beautiful (I'm assuming even more so with out the dirt stain of peoples feet) I slept great and woke without the normal discomforts from sleeping on the floor. Not sure how to handle this one... You bet I'm going to get another great night sleep on it and I'm not too concerned with the overall condition, but what a let down from such a longstanding and reputable company. :-/As I started posting these photos I'm seeing how much I didn't notice. On the full mattress photo you can see the mattress is cut unevenly, thin at the top and widens as it goes down... the wider part is where the corner folds and where the cover rolls underneath. Also, the lighting in my apartment is dim so I didn't notice how dirty the mattress cover actually is, but with my phone light on you can really see it. I definitely was given a used mattress!!!!

I love this floor mattress!!One of my most favorite purchases!I got the sage green one!I sleep very comfortably!It's not too thin and not too thick. It's just right!!

The description stated that it was 4 inches thick but it was at best 2.5 inches thick. Support was fine for the arms, back and feet but was tough on the hip if one sleeps on their side. Agreed with one reviewer that there were no odors. Unzipped and peeked to see that it was basically egg-crate foam with the cover providing the other layers as described in the description. We bought the 100% cotton cover for it and that fit to the tee and felt good to the skin. It was rollable and stored with the 2 accompanying straps. Would have earned more stars if four (4) inches thick.

Amamos!Por mucho tiempo mi esposo y yo buscamos un colchón firme pero los que comprábamos (probamos 3 diferentes) después de un tiempo se marcaban o ya no se sentían tan firmes. Optamos por un futon y ha sido excelente!

Very comfortable when placed on some tatami mats. The cover can be removed, although it contains some padding. I bought a Zonli queen size cover to go over the matress so that I can just remove and wash that outer cover. The padding give the matress a bit of stiffness, but it can still be folded up to form a small couch against the wall.

Lo puse sobre una base de cama matrimonial solida sin ranuras entre tablas en lugar de mi antiguo colchon. Me encanta es mucho mejor que un colchon, se duerme confortable y con la espalda recta
