This heavy duty steel shelving unit is supplied packed flat for easy home assembly. It is a unique bolt free design which clicks and slots together.In the box are 5 brown wooden mdf shelves with all the metal supports needed to hold them in place, 8 upright sections with 4 joints so you can either have 2 lower units side by side or one tall 5 shelf unit. The intructions are very simple just push them all together.The instructions say all you need is a rubber mallet but we found you need also a strong screwdriver to push the lugs into the slots as they wouldn't glide in easily without a little help. This means that once assembled the unit is nice and strong and robust but it makes for a few ouches as you are putting it togther if you're not careful. You can space the shelves at different heights to suit your needs.The metal frame is coated in an attractive shade of blue.The finished item looks quite industrial and is great for a garage or workshop but could also look cool in a minimalist style apartment. Its strong enough to hold heavy boxes and tools as well as every day items and the shelves are nice and deep.I'm very happy to recommend this shelf unit and am using mine in the garage to keep all my DIY products neatly organised.I have had several products from the supplier Songmics and all have been good value and quality.I've enjoyed sharing my experience with this item if you've read my review thank you, please show your appreciation by clicking on helpful at the end of this review.

A little disappointed as the previous reviews were good. Wasted a lot of time trying to push into the slots as they were not lined up properly. Middle shelf will still come apart if lifted from the top.

Yes, pretty good shelving for the money. Use a rubber mallet to hammer together. otherwise straightforward to assemble.

This shelf unit is very strong and stable. Putting it together was straightforward with no awkwardness at all. Once erected the unit looks very solid indeed and I have filled it with various heavy tools and boxes containing screws, nails and fittings. The steel used is of a heavy gauge and I imagine it will last for a long long time. The unit looks good too, painted in a power paint blue. The shelves are adjustable and the MDF used for the actual shelves is a lot stronger than you may think.I was sent this in exchange for an honest and unbiased review and the unit has been well tested and I am happy to recommend it to you.
