SISSINGHURST LUTYENS TEAK GARDEN BENCH

Very good value for money. Made of teak, some of which had cracked.For the price,though,this is acceptable. The worst feature was a wooden bar at the front of the seat,presumably made to hold a seat cushion in place, was so high it cut into the underneath of your thighs.I had to cut this bar to level it with the rest of the seat,it is now fine. Having applied two coats of teak oil,the seat looks wonderful.

I have always wanted a lutyens bench, but could never quite afford one. This was very good value, so I ordered it together with teak Oil. The supplier gave dates of when they could deliver the fully built bench, and they delivered on the 1st date given. It was very well wrapped so I could tell that it was going to be quality. The driver offered to wait while it wasvunwrapped to check for any damage, but due to the neatness and we'll places protection I could see if any of the packaging was dented, it wasn't, so I said no need to wait I'll unwrap later. This I did and I was not disappointed, the bench was very well made and finished, no rough wood, so over the next few days I teak oiled it for weather protection. Be aware that by doing that it will obviously deepen the colour of the bench. It brings out the grain and i think enhances the look of the bench.approx a week later all done all soaked in and ready to take pride of place in garden. I absolutely love this bench and I will take very good care of it, as it is a very comfortable, tactile, exquisite piece of design that would complement any garden large or small.

Very naughty it did not tell people it was flatpack. Sneakily that was not mentioned anywhere. Be honest and upfront about that in future.

Have had two. Previous one ordered came fully assembled and in perfect condition - this one, same supplier and same price, arrived flat packed with splits in the wood. Disappointing.

Very stylish, looks great in the garden, but does need to have a lot of oil worked into the wood. Would be helpful if this was indicated on product description

This bench arrived in flat pack, but that said I went together very easily. It is beautiful quality. We decided to oil it to give extra protection and order a cover to keep it nice. It is a lovely style bench and was delighted with the shape, the quality and how robust it went together.Definitely think this was good value for money.

Bought as a present. It would only suit a large garden.

Bought as a birthday present for my wife, who has seen similar style at Sissinghurst. She is very pleased. Easy & quick to put together, very solid and good size & quality
