I purchased our first two of these blankets for the couch and our bed in our little travel trailer for when we have to leave our German Shepherd in the trailer alone for a bit. Basically, our dogs are not allowed on our furniture at home at all, but, when travelling with our one dog, we realized that when we are away from our trailer, she does apparently get on the couch and/or our bed some. (Makes sense, as she has to get up there to look out the windows if she hears anything she needs to check out. After all, she is our watch dog.) So, these are perfect to keep in a cabinet when we are there with her, and then pull out and put on the couch and our bed, when we need to leave her inside by herself every once in awhile.These covers come in a variety of sizes and they are really well made, with the top side made out of a very sturdy paw print fabric and the back side a sturdy fabric with little adorable rubbery feeling pawprints on the backside to help keep the blankets in place. I can't verify what the insides are, but the thickness is nice and I tested the top fabric's 'leakproof' claim by deliberately 'spilling' a bit of water on it, let it sit a bit, and wiped it up. It did not appear to soak through at all. Granted, I've not washed them yet so do not know if that will affect it's leak proof properties at all. However, by the type of fabric used I'm guessing it won't be by much, if at all, but that is just my guess at this point.Side note: We absolutely love these blankets, so much so that after getting the first one, my husband and I both agreed that they would be perfect for me to make covers for our dinette cushions (seat and back) in our trailer as well. The fabric that came on the cushions is nice looking and feeling, but I find that our granddaughters fingers (and ours) can sometimes leave grease marks on the cushions without meaning to, and the original fabric being a solid grey really shows those marks and they are a pain to try to get off the fabric. Between that, and the adorable look with these big paw prints, I finally found the perfect cover material for them, so I ordered a couple more of these blankets to make those covers with... now to just get around to sewing them.... winter project # ?? for me.So, if you are looking for a very well made and cute Pet Blanket, check these out. This item is as described. It's a small, heavy-duty blanket that offers some water resistance. I use it on the one section of the couch that has become my sweet dog's spot, to protect my furniture. It has "grippy" paw prints on one side of it, so it tends to stay put on the couch, even as my dog moves around. My only complaint is that when it first arrived, it had a strong, fishy smell to it. I washed it a couple of times and it seemed to fade. Plus, my old dog doesn't exactly smell like roses, so I figure it really won't smell good for long anyway. We love our dogs, an our furniture - this product helps us to keep both comfortable and safe. Thanks.

I foster dogs and this has been a legit life saver for my couch! With new dogs coming into my home from various circumstances, you never know what you’re going to get. I can’t take the risk of dirt, pee or anything else ruining my couch. Just pop this in the wash and it’s good as new every time. Absolutely love this blanket!

Exactly as described. Great quality. I bought multiple covers to use in our RV because I wanted to protect all the cushions from dog and camping messes. They did smell weird when first out of the package but there was a note to wash before using. I washed them easily in our washer and they smelled fine after that. I was impressed by how easily I was able to clean dirt smudges with just a damp cloth when camping. They stayed put really well too and are definitely waterproof. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend them!

Bought this for my bed so my cat can lounge in it during the day and and I can take it off at night to have a fur free bed but upon arrival it has this tough fishy/meaty smell. I washed it 3x but the smell hasn't dissipated. I believe its whatever the no slip side with paw print is the cause :(

Durable enough that our English Mastiffs have not torn them up like they do every other blanket or sheet we put on their beds.

My dog ripped a hole in this blanket within the first 5 minutes. I would not recommend this blanket to anyone that has a puppy or a dog who chews.

I ended up getting 2. When on the couch, they are easy to vacuum (small hand vacuum) and are very stable because of the anti slip side, however the 4 instead of 5 is because when ready to put in the dryer from the washer, there's still a lot of water and I have to slowly get the blanket out of the washer, making sure the water slides in the washer before completely pulling the blankets out and into the dryer, or else I end up with water everywhere.... If you have a washer that has a "spin cycle" only, I'd give it a 10/5, that's how much I love those. The water mess it can cause would not stop me from getting another though. Better than putting bed sheets on the couches when you have 3 furbabies.
