Easy to use and works great
My 16 year old put this together after watching youtube videos and was sharpening a whole lot of old, dull blades. The instructions provided are not very useful so youtube videos are better. Glad to say that sharpened blades cut efficiently. No more smoke.

It's a little time consuming
Cheaper at harbor freight. Make sure you read and understand how it works. Once you figure out what all parts are for exactly it works well. Saves buying blades.

Excellent sharpener. Setting the unit up to fit blade ...
Excellent sharpener. Setting the unit up to fit blade angle is most critical, but it is easy. Once set up is complete, you can sharpen a blade in less than 5 minutes. My carbide tipped blades are razor sharp. Cutting oak trim or boards is now done with no splintering. Perfectly CLEAN cuts. Great machine. The bad reviews your reading are not true. Some customers you will never please or make happy.Buy with confidence on this unit.Thank you.

Cheaply built but works
This thing is really cheaply built but it does work. Have used it to sharpen all of my 7.25" blades, my 10" blades, and all of my 12" blades. Works well when you get it set up properly, repeatability is not very good from blade to blade, requires totally resetting up process. I will probably rebuild the platform and adjustments myself when I have time. All of my blades are carbide and it works very well in this material, just were a mask. Over all I like the machine and being able to sharpen my own saw blades.

120 Volt Circular Saw Blade Sharpener
The price is really great for this item. It does exactly as advertised. By looking at the picture however, I got the impression that the blade could have just been set and left for the machine to sharpen the entire blade. However, you need to sit and sharpen each blade tooth one by one. The machine does an incredible job at sharpening the blades. I would definitely recommend this product. It can save you a lot of money especially if you do wood working and need to sharpen your blades regularly.

Had to return
Christmas present so value for money is unkn. I plugged this in on the bench noticed the blade as wobbling bad. Took it apart and found the inside washer that has a shoulder on it to go inside of the wheel. Was not seated in the wheel. either the washer was wrong or the wheel hole was wrong. ? I called Chicago electric power tools and They said send it back to Amazon, as this was a discontinued Item. But in the Amazon site is say NO.

The Basics of Beginning
This is an elementary level apparatus, that will actually provide the basic functions of revitalizing saw blades, and whatever other innovative applications that may arise. It takes a bit of three-handed agility to get it set up. And, I find it is a little flimsy for highly accurate machining. But, the basics are there.Besides setting your table up with a diamond blade to freehand sharpen blades, this does offer a separate sharpening station station that will work as efficiently.I did push the Lock in Place mechanism aside. It was more of a nuisance than a usable feature. This Grinder will actually make the cutting tips sharper. Nothing to write home about, but it keeps from just throwing aways a pile of dull blades. And Yes, I still send out my more expensive blades. You can only go so cheap, until you go out of business.
