How much height adjustment is there?

It adjusts 13.5"-18" to the top of the pedestal.

Does the whole post swivel 360 or just the hard plastic? I have a very similar mechanism and it does not swivel well at all.

When you loosen it to swivel 360 it wabbles!

Is this a set of 2 or just 1? Hard to tell by the wording.

It’s per mount. You get 1 mount, 1 pedestal , and 1 slide. And, I had no issues with he install. Works well

What is the deck mounting bolt pattern diameter/spacing?

Standard 8” 6 bolt pattern. Very easy to replace. Just turn the bolts out, replace with new base and tighten it down, if that was the original pattern. Simple replace.
