For $16 I just bought myself a heck of a lot of โpeace of mindโ.
About three days ago, I was sitting at home, minding my own business and watching the World Cup games on TV. All of a sudden I lost Internet and phone service. My phone kept giving me 5 bars of signal and settings showed that I was connected to WiFi. I was not. I could not make or receive a call, I could not text, and I had no access to the Internet. I had no way of finding out if something serious was going on. I live in a metropolitan area in the northeast so it is rare for us to lose service. But it happened. I could not make a call, I couldnโt check any emergency services, and I certainly didnโt have an old-fashioned AM/FM radio that I could tune into to see if there was something going on. There are 2 very respectable โall news, all the timeโ stations in my area, but I had no way of tuning in to see if anything was happening. Having witnessed the 911 tragedy personally and in living color, I freaked out a little bit. After 911 I find it necessary to know whatโs going on around me when something like this happens. Thanks to my โnew toyโ I am now prepared. As soon as my signals returned (I have no idea what happened that day) I came to Amazon and I ordered this little workhorse of a radio. This little guy packs a big punch. I got it about an hour ago and Iโve been playing around with it to see what it can do. The radio stations are coming in loud and clear. My two โall news, all the timeโ stations are coming through crisp, clear and are easy to tune into. The NOAA station (designated as WB on this radio) was giving warnings about the heat wave we are experiencing in the next few days, again, crisp and clear. The flashlight is a bonus on this radio. In a real emergency, where we lose power altogether, that will be a much appreciated function. Through the flashlight activation I am also able to turn on a very loud and annoying alarm. I mention the word โannoyingโ because anyone who hears that will come to investigate what the heck is causing that noise so kudos to the manufacturer for thinking of that . This unit gives me three options for charging it. I can do it via USB, I can charge it with the hand crank or it can be charged using solar energy. In an emergency, this little beauty also allows me to charge my cell phone. All this for $16. When I said in my description that I bought myself a heck of a lot of โpeace of mindโ for $16, now you understand why. I also love the fact that it is small enough to easily be stored away. This is one radio that will be traveling with me from now on because it is small enough to fit anywhere, but it brings a lot of useful features with it. In this day and age of everything working through Wi-Fi and Internet, this is a โmust haveโ for any household. Do yourself a favor and order one of these. Donโt wait for the day where you are not able to communicate with anyone and perhaps something big is going on around you. I hope you never need to use it, but if ever there comes a time when you do, you are going to be glad that you invested such an affordable amount of money on this Radio. You will not be sorry.

The perfect power outage tool
Iโm going to be honest here. I bought this because it was a good price to just throw in the cabinet and forget about until I needed it. Well here we are Almost 2 months later and I forgot about it until the power just went out. Well here I come to save the day because I grabbed it and we all hung out in the basement listening to the radio and playing games with the light. Itโs honestly perfect! Itโs compact but still has on the clicks and whistles! I could not recommend this enough! The radio was loud and clear, the light is really bright and to have the phone charger saved the night when my husbands phone started dying and he was trying to figure out what was going on with the lights. Itโs crank powered, and solar powered as backup. Itโs very as Trudy and does not feel cheap at all. For your sanity get it!

What the little red box can do.
This seems to be a 5 star product. It has a very bright flashlight, easily workable radio, easily chargeable, compact size. It seems to be a perfect camping accessory. It was well priced.

Smaller Than I Expected, but Nice to Have Around
I was honestly surprised by how small this radio was when I opened it. I expected something a little bigger, but I do like that it won't take up much room in my emergency supplies. I like having the hand crank and solar charging options, especially for power outages when you never know how long the electricity might be out. The flashlight features are nice extras too. Overall, I wish it was a little bigger, but it's a handy little radio to have tucked away just in case.

They thought of everything on this radio!
This is an amazing little radio, and it's useful for more than just emergencies. It's compact enough to fit just about anywhere you want to set it. It took about 5 or 6 hours to fully charge it the first time. Then I turned it on. I was stunned by its clear reception and the plethora of stations it picked up. It has a powerful reach. This radio has better reception than any other radio I've ever had, including car radios. There are three ways to charge it: by USB cable, solar and hand crank, so depending on your circumstances you will always have a way to charge it. The instructions give you the pros and cons of each type of charging. Just a footnote: the hand crank is very easy to turn, in case you were wondering, and the battery lasts a long time before needing to recharge, and the flashlight is a nice added feature. You can't go wrong with this little radio. It works well in every respect that matters.

Every household should have one
Every household should have one. It's on the cheaper side and not waterproof but small and travels well.
