Jinhao have good reviews, especially from experts like Goulet and Pen Chalet. But I have returned mine as of the four I bought, one nib was damaged on arrival, one dropped ink all over the paper after a couple of sentences, one worked perfectly for a day then just dried up and the other was more fine than medium despite best endeavours to get it to write properly. Stick to Platinum Preppy or Stabilo beCrazy that are half the price and significantly better. True they don't look as good but you don't buy these type of pens for their image. Preppy and Stabilo work out of the box first time and never miss a beat. Medium nibs are bordering broad and if you convert to eye dropper they are unbeatable value for money if you like a wet flowing ink such as Diamine. The barrels on the Jinhao are very thick / sausage like and look tacky to be honest. Cap can be tight fitting which is a real pain. Customer service was however good and I got an offer for a replacement nib, but I think this was from China, so could have taken ages to arrive and once the other three pens had failed, it was easier to return and replace with a Preppy/stabilo

In the past I’ve spend £20 or £30 on fountain pens that I’ve been disappointed by. These pens are only a few quid and they’re lovely to use, feel like good quality and write smoothly. Ive got 7 of them now, all with different coloured inks. No doubt I will buy more.(The ink you use can a difference to how the pen writes)

Fabulous pens so far and amazing value for money. Write quite thick but the ink flows well and they look really good.

I love these pens! They are such great value for money and are in lovely colours. Ink converter is included which is brilliant.

Fabulous pens as back up to my main, more expensive fountain pen. Now I can keep a pen in every bag.

These pens are fantastic! Look great; nicely weighted and medium bibs write well and ink flows well too.
