This is a review of the Dangerfield Extended TOK Top of Keyway Tension Wrenches. Which was priced at £19.99 at the time of posting this review. I took up lock picking as a hobby several months ago and ordered this product as I didn’t have a full set of TOK wrenches. Since taking up this hobby I have been aware of the Dangerfield name as one of the top lock pick equipment companies with a reputation for quality products. These wrenches are a great set with different styles and thicknesses to use with all the practice locks I have. Each of the 8 wrenches has its size printed on the shaft and are all double ended giving twice the options. These wrenches are longer than the others I have which does make easier for my large hands to use. I like the quality of these wrenches as they are solid but with a little bit of give when tensioning a lock.

I have picked up lockpicking as a fun little hobby and have been practicing on simple locks with a very basic kit that I bought a long time ago. One of the biggest negatives of the cheap kit that I had was that the tensioners were extremely poor and did not have any variety, making tensioning of some locks extremely difficult. When I saw this kit I knew I had to have it. Out of the box you get a small carry case that contains 8 different tensioners, each of a different shape/size. These tensioners feel very well made and on use I noticed that they have just the right amount of flex without deforming permanently. The added little teeth on each end also help "bite" into the lock which reduces the chance of slipping. I used these tensioners on a few different locks and they made a world of difference compared to my old ones. At the time of writing, these tensioners are priced at £20, which is definitely on the pricier side, compared to most of the competition, though one could argue that the quality at least partially warrants the price Overall, I think these are a very decent set of tensioners and they far outclass what I already had. Having said that, they are on the pricier side and if you are budget conscious, you can definitely find sets that are cheaper that will likely perform just as well.

Got this to practice the art of lockpicking and this is a basic tool set to start. I have been able to practice and use the tools provided, it is much more difficult than I anticipated! Tools although on the cheaper side are a good starter pack. Come nicely presented and are a good starter tool.

I got this set for my son to practice with. He has a lock pick set as its a hobby he picked up last year. Ive had a go a couple of times and Im pretty sure these tools will enhance his set. These small tools help turn the lock when you have got the inner part pushed into place with your lock smithing picks. Each piece is different and they start at thickness 1 and end at thickness 8 Some have curved ends, some squrer angles. and little teeth They feel well made , hard and sturdy. not easily broken or bent The case is real leather I think and spacious enough to stick a few of the relevant corresponding tools in if for example you are putting together a small set for lock smith work. Seem like reasonable value for the build quality.
