Keeps hot drinks warmer longer due to thickness.

I purchased a set of 4 of the red cups. I wanted something retro, yet in a color. These are heavy and keep my coffee hot for a longer period of time. The color is a deep red and looks really nice. I gave it an overall score of 4 points because I was disappointed that they are made in China and worse, have the "made in China" stamp on the bottom of the cups. If I could find the same type cups in the same color not made in China, I would have returned these. I wish companies would bring their factories back to the USA as I am really tired of buying everything from China.

The cup from world war 2 era navel ships. The Diner cup. Think of sitting next to Humphrey Bogart in the Diner Painting: pure coffee break escapism, and the coffee may taste like thirties diner coffee. This cup was well worth the purchase, not just for the coffee break escapism , the size is perfect about 6 ounce size and very heavy constructed.

I was looking for a heavy mug for tea. I have many larger coffee cups but for tea I don't need a very big one. I was looking for an old fashioned style like in the diners. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's very heavy, nice thick ceramic and the lip is very smooth where you put your mouth. The only thing wrong in the description is that the handle is one finger, not two. But it's fine, you can hold it very easy with one finger in the hole and your thumb on the top of the handle. Since it's so thick my tea stays hot longer. I'll order a few more.

Exactly what I have wanted. My morning restaurant couldn’t sell me one of these so I was happy to find this. A tad pricey at $16 but worth it.

The mugs arrived 1 week early from the USA, just in time for a coffee. This is the type of mug your favourite characters in American TV series use when they are having coffee in dinner. The mug is pure white and the pottery is extremely thick which keeps the contents good and hot, put if in the microwave with some milk, heat the milk and then pour on some coffee, keeps really hot for a good while. Wide base keeps the mug stable, good thick handle gives good grip and wide at thd top makes it easy to drink from. Outstanding functionsl American design, the Ford of coffee cup. A bit expensive but is really stylish, Design software often seen in the UK. I might get wrong but I think the coffee tastes better.
