I don't give five stars lightly. However, Christopher M. Clarke has hit it out of the park once again. I have had to give this review a lot of thought, because I love his style of writing. If you are a history buff, you will love his writing. He puts you back in time with his storytelling and leaves out no detail. You can imagine exactly what life was like in the day and time of his characters, which happen to be his distant relatives. It feels as if you are reading a novel. However, you have in your hand the research to back up facts. In addition you have sources to read further when your interest is piqued. I will read everything this man writes and anxiously await his next book.
