Where has the liquid Silvo polish gone? I'm using the last of a can I've had for years!

what does wadding mean?

Cottton wadding is just that, a long rope of cotton in (what appears to be) it's natural form. You reach into the container and tear off a piece of the wadding for use. This will NOT look like the cotton balls in your bathroom. The cotton is impregnated with the magic of Silvo. This product is superb for removing spots, stains (black marks, water marks), and tarnish from your silver treasures. I've used it on both Sterling and silver plate with excellent results on both. I will caution you to be more gentle on silver plate as this will rub off the silver if you rub with too much pressure for an extended amount of time. Don't worrry though, it will not remove the silver plate for everyday cleaning and use. If you have silver that is heavily tarnished this works wonderfully. If the silver has imperfections like old black marks/stains, this will remove them.

Is this safe on polished nickel?

Ir works very well with nickel and silver plated brass

Sorry I don’t use the liquid silvo. The one that I use is just perfect no need for liquid to my opinion.
