LibéronHard Wax Oil Clear Matt 1L

I have some old storage baskets and I used this hard wax to paint on them to make them look brighter. The liquid is cloudy pinkish white and evidently water-based so brush cleaning isn't much of a chore. The smell is faint. The stuff dries clear and slightly shiny and two coats really does the business. Well worth the money and I recommend it.

An excellent, professional-grade product. I've deducted one star because of slight lack of product description clarity though. I'd also bought a I litre can of Liberon Professional hard wax oil in a colour tint, but the instructions for it were to use a clear version as a top coat. So that meant buying another 1 litre can, of this product - far more than I needed to do my job; I'd assumed I could use two coats of the coloured one. And I found when I received this that it was water-based as opposed to the other being spirit-based, and, although I bought satin-finish, actually had little more sheen than the coloured sort. So I spent £48.50 to do a relatively small job when in fact, had I known, I could have, much more cheaply, ignored the Professional and used an ordinary wood dye first followed by two coats of the water-based clear oil.

Excellent way for protecting and bringing out the quality of the wood. Used it on all my oak doors. Started using it on the furniture.
