Is this supposed to be sprayed over the stoma powder ?

Hello. I’ve been nursing stomas for 2 years and I don’t normally use powder unless the patient has a yeast infection. If your stoma is healthy, using the barrier directly on skin is the best way to do it. Spray liberally. Let dry. Spray again, liberally. You’ll get a good coat before you apply the ring and flange (or only flange is you don’t use a ring). The flanges will stay on with no irritation to skin for 14 days. I normally change them for folks because the 14 days are up and not for any other reason like leaks.

Is this a good barrier product for constant surgical mask wearing? I work in the ED

I am an ostomy bag wearer and I use this spray to keep my skin healthy. It does the trick in blocking out " intestinal contents" from irritating my skin as well as the glue. I think it would work for the mask irritation.

I have one of these and it makes the skin stucky when sprayed. Is that notmal?

I did experience this, make sure the skin a dry before spraying also make sure the cavilon spray is completely dry before applying any tape if you are using tape. It doesn’t take much do you could be using to much product at once.
